Hurrah for this day! It’s my 40th. It can be daunting reaching this year of existence but this positively hits another milestone in my life. Although others have anxiety attacks when aging, let’s just have a positive perception in life to keep going.
Off for invitation
Early in the morning as I looked around, our place is tranquil. The birds chirped, the wheezing sound of the air was heard, and we felt the cool breeze due to the green surrounding. The weather was perfect, it fit to my big day. Off we go to invite my sisters and their families, and my friends too.
Together with my youngest child, and our fur baby we were very excited as we headed to my sisters' houses to invite them for a lunch. It took 5 minutes to going there. Along our way, a strong force of magnet pulled me to pause, sit on the bench, and took a photo of this captivating short coconut tree locally known as bilaka (own dialect) bearing plenty of fruits. Obviously, I can get these with my bare hands easily. In our province, planting a coconut tree is beneficial since it is considered the tree of life. Everything from the roots up to the leaves is helpful. This is extremely useful.
As we moved our way, another alluring beauty lured us to have our second pause, smile, and take another photo opportunity. My child rendered happily her best pose as I gave her a shot. I did the same thing too. It was pretty cool to be under a bamboo tree. The soothing view of the trees around provided us with great relaxation, and feel how perfect the world is to live with.
The bamboo tree is known to symbolize longevity because of its toughness asset, suppleness, and for being resilience. It stands in the toughest situations, still upright and tall and remaining green. When there is a storm, it bends and goes with the wind.These bamboos are already 86 years old.
We reached my sister’s house. As we were about to invite them, I was ignited to take photos of her incredible minute garden. The area was surrounded by green. The beauty of nature is never dreary.
The lunch
All foods served were ordered. It’s was a hassle-free celebration, no stress and our beauties were relaxed. We never cooked because everything was delivered with satisfaction. We only prepared the plates, the spoons and forks, and the drinks.
I never expected to be celebrating my 40th generously. Why generously? We are seven siblings including myself. They prepared a lavish lunch for me. One of my brothers sponsored the lechon (he’s working abroad), my elder sister bought a half barrel of ice cream, and the rest of them (they have just sent their money, they were busy at work) contributed for the side dishes. My husband was not around since he was in the hospital accompanying her sister who is on medication due to her breast cancer. I gave them my full understanding because she’s unmarried and needed somebody who can be with her for the entire day. But he bought a cake for me. (So sweet!)
The celebration was exclusively participated by my immediate family and friends. It was still a joyful birthday although we are incomplete. There was satisfaction, and our stomachs were all full.
The time to give thanks for being alive (@40) is to celebrate a birthday and be so fortunate to be still breathing. It is the perfect time to commemorate that reaching life this far is quite tough, and it is also the time to look forward to the upcoming; it is also the period to reflect on all the achievements in life, overcome all the difficulties and shortcomings, and definitely not the time to grief of being grown-up.
This blog reminds us that birthday strengthens a healthy family relationship. It enables us to bond, and be reunited. It is a perfect time to be making remarkable memories since you are remembered and loved. Having positive memories with the family is greatly treasured and is lasting. Creating another momentous memory!
At 40, I'm stronger for the difficulties that will be encountered along my way, fierce and more seasoned. To more challenging and wonderful life to come. Certainly, it was a Happy Birthday!
