My Life In Color on Vibrant and Subtle Red and Brown Thursday (5/26/22) | HIGHLIGHTING THE COLOR FOR THE DAY

My Life In Color - Highlighting the Color For the Day was a concept I devised based on colors I assigned to each day. However, this concept is not new. It was the brainchild of a Hive member who organized the Color Challenge Community, but is no longer on the blockchain.

Since I love digital drawings, I decided to create my own version of the colors assigned to different days. It's not a challenge. I'm only sharing with you many of my personal photos and digital drawing images in my collection.

With that said, today is Thursday. My choice of colors are found in my color chart below in which I assigned a different day of the week with a particular color or color blend.

According to colorpsychology.org, brown is a combination of red and green. I hadn't thought about this or heart this analysis before, but according to the site, brown symbolizes safety and security. I guess it's not seen as wild and unstable. This color also symbolizes earthiness as the soil is predominantly brown in hue. Pertaining to artwork, in the 18th century, brown symbolized humility, simplicity, and wellness. 1

Now, the color red is another deal altogether. Red is one of the primary colors. It represents passion, warmth, and sexuality. However, it's also a symbol of danger, violence, and aggression.

If you want to stand out and make a statement, it's often accomplished by marking an item in red ink or wearing a red colored garment. However, red is usually associated with a personality of a person who is confident and doesn't mind being noticed. The site also states that red sits between violet and orange on the color wheel. Colors that are similar to red are rose red and red orange. 2

When I think about these two colors, red and brown, in my own life, I think of my decor and wardrobe. I see these colors weaved throughout my entire adult life. When purchasing clothing items, my first glance is toward brown. It's my favorite because the items can be paired separately with almost any other color.

Below are a few different types of art I'd like to share with you today:

Digital Drawings

Apophysis 2.09

Creating fractals is accomplished with the fractal rendering program, Apophysis 2.09. Numerous programs such as this exist that allow you to design various types of fractal. I know one such fractal rendering program render flames for unique landscape designs.

Here are fractals I created in two different versions of Apophysis. This first one was created in a later version, 7x. This version is an excellent 3D creator. The designs and colors are more bold and vivid.

Created in version 2.09. Even though this version is a lower one, it can still produce amazing fractal designs.

Bomomo

Bomomo is an Windows online drawing program that produces abstract art with unique drawing tools. Each tool provides a set of specific patterns. Various colors change on different mouse moves. You can produce abstract images such as lines, curves, circles, diagrams, hexagons, and other amazing patterns

Nvidia Gaugan

Nvidia Gaugan is a online software that produces generative art. I've used this program for over three y ears now. The landscapes are beautiful depictions trees, bushes, mountains, waters, rocks, and buildings. Although buildings still a ways to go to be interpreted properly. However, the sky elements are the most striking as clouds are the most amazing elements I've designed so far.

Your drawings are always so interesting - but I loved the insight that you had with the colors and how they are comprised and what they symbolize!

i never thought of brown as a mixture of red and green either - but when you think about it... yes! hehehe it makes perfect sense!
