The devil in his subtle advances against a born again child of God works to make appealing, what God has earmarked to be detested. Why do you think the devil in his move against mankind in the Garden of Eden, chose to appear in the form of a serpent? The reason is not far-fetched; it is because the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God has made. The devil has not changed in his manner of operation.
The same strategy he used against Eve is the same strategy he uses today against all true believers. He works to make you see good in what the Lord God says is bad. He works to make you cherish what God says is forbidden. His primary duty is your attention; he can go to any length to get it. If he succeeds, he has so much to tell you about what God has assigned and earmarked for you, all in a bid to make sin look less sinful and to abort your divinely appointed destiny.

He began by seeking to hear from the woman, what God had told them concerning the trees in the garden. Meanwhile, the rise and fall of man depended on two major trees in that garden – the tree of life whose fruit God has earmarked for man, so that man would be clothed with immortality and live forever and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil capable of causing a fall, which God forbade for man.
Beware of anything that plays around the consecration of God upon your life: that is the devil’s primary port of call in any life. Samson was on the laps of Delilah playing with his hair, which was the hallmark of consecration. Before he knew what was happening, he was grounded.
All that the devil was after in his conversation with Eve, was for her to simply take a look; after all there is nothing wrong with looking, lying devil! There is everything wrong with looking at what God forbids for you. Looking is different from seeing; looking goes with all manner of considerations. The woman took a look and the Bible says that she saw that the tree was good for food. It was the good she saw in what God said was bad, that grounded mankind. May you not see good in what God says is poisonous: Amen.
