Jesus Christ anoint us with the holy spirit and send us to preach the gospel to sinner, poor, sick and the oppress. One of the assignment given to man kind is to preach the gospel and in this write up we will look at how you can effectively carry out this mandate
- Love: it is difficult to preach the gospel if we do not allow the love of God to grow in our heart and let this love find expression to the people around us. We must love the people around us and desire their salvation and deliverance from the pit of hell before we can preach to them effectively.
- Prayer: it takes the conviction of the holy spirit to be able to bring men to Christ, mere talk will not do the business because people carry different philosophy in their mind.so engage yourself in the place of prayer
- Open your mouth with faith believing God to speak through you: any time you are out for evangelism, open your mouth to declare the message of Christ. He himself will speak through you from above.
- Avoid argument: you are not call to argue with anybody rather you are call to preach the gospel. So as much as possible avoid argument from any angle.
- Your greatest sermon is your life: work on your character because your character is louder than you voice and people read you like book.
- Move with someone: if you are starting, you can decide to move with some to enable you develop the ability to talk to people and also you can observe the way he is approaching people.
- Believe God for souls: before you step out of your house to evangelize, you should believe God for a specific number of souls that God will bring to his kingdom. Put it in your mind as you pray about it and trust God for it.
- Thanksgiving: appreciating God for the souls coming to Christ that you can see with your eyes of the spirit and you will see the physical manifestation.
