WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT FRUITFULNESS

in HeartChurch4 years ago

In the Bible, According to the book of Genesis,we where made to understand that as children of God we are supposed to be fruitful, but most atimes we tend to understand that fruitfulness to be in terms of bearing children only.

But then fruitfulness does not necessarily mean to birth children, even though in a broad sense, this could be a bit inclusive.

Fruitfulness here means to be productive God has already blessed us with abilities, then he sent us into this world to translate those abilities into products of excellence, for that's when we can boldly even prove that we are his image and after his likeness because that's all about him,He produces excellent results

We only resemble him when our products resemble his because "by fruits,ye shall know them"
Our identity doesn't even lie in our knowledge of him,not even in the blessings that we carry Our identity lies solely on our products.

Jesus explains his connection with us in John 15 as him being the true vine,we the branches and God the husbandman(gardener).

Being a branch in the vine is actually being a christian, so congratulations!

But it doesn't end there.

Producing anything but fruits increases your risk of losing your place even as a christian. So on that day, christians will cry and say "Father, I did things in your name, but I will say, I know thee not"

Simple: Activity differ from productivity

So, what's the point here?
Fruitfulness implies that we be so resourceful to the point of being a direct reflection of who God is."Let your light so shine, that men may see your good works and give glory to God"

If our activities doesn't produce impact, we are producing only leaves.

If our our impact doesn't showcase God's glory, we are producing fruit but we will need some pruning.
Only when our actions can translate our God given abilities to values and those values are strong enough to convince people of God can we fully say we are indeed fruitful.

May God help us all to be fruitful in Jesus name...Amen
