Psalm 4:7; you have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and win increased.
There is great Joy in the Lord, the kind of Joy that one finds in Christ is not the one that is sold at the stores and liquor stores, not is it the kind that they find at night clubs and parties. Rather this is joy of inner peace, the joy of salvation, the joy of knowing that you are safe and that you are catered for by a supreme being who is greater than anything in this World. It is the kind of Joy a child has for the mother or father knowing that the father or mother loves them dearly and would do anything they ask or seek.
This joy makes us feel safe and secured in this world of hustle where things can get very tough and scary. When things are incoherent and everything seems not to be on its own path doing its own thing. The Joy of the Lord comes with a sense of direction, and sense of love, and a sense of protection that cannot be found anywhere in this world.
If the source of your Joy comes from the Lord then worldly things will not move you because you have even better treasures and riches and you would know and understand that the Lord will also grant you that of the earth. So brethren i ask you. Where or what is your source of joy?
