Doing the will of God

in HeartChurch5 years ago

Saying: Father, if you want, pass me this cup; but my will will not be done, but yours.
Luke 22:42 King James Version (RVR1960)

The Lord Jesus teaches us through his own example that the will of God is not what we want and plan to do, but that the will of God is to do things his way and in the way that he has established in his word .

The Lord Jesus in his prayer asked the Father to help him pass the bitter cup of his pain and suffering for humanity, but he said to him "Do not do as I want, but your will."

In Romans 12: 2, the apostle Paul says that God's will is good, pleasant, and perfect. If we want to know the will of God in any situation in our lives, we only have to go to His word and we will find the good, pleasant and perfect advice to solve our problems.

In the same way, Paul taught the church of Thessalonica that they should give thanks to God for all things, because that was the will of God. Then, we realize that the will of God contains everything that has to do with our lives. We just have to know his word and be thankful to God in all things, whether for good or bad, but they all have a teaching for us.

If someone commits a fault towards us, God's will is that we should forgive that person. In the same way, if we commit a fault towards someone, the will of God is that we should ask that person for forgiveness. The Lord teaches us that if we do his will in full obedience, the good and mercy of God will not depart from us.

Let us not forget that God's will is good, pleasant, and perfect.
