When the Israelite's were about to enter into Promised Land, Moses urged them to be a grateful people.
When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.
- Deuteronomy 8-10
New International Version
Thanks to the blessings of God, the land was abundant, but they could easily treat this prosperity as something they deserved.
You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

In times of plenty, we often take credit for our prosperity and become proud that our own hard work and cleverness have made us rich. It is easy to get busy collecting and managing wealth that we push God right out of our lives. But it is God who gives us everything we have, and it is God who asks us to manage it for Him. Take the time every day to be thankful for everything that you have. You can always have more, but you could also have less.God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
