Devotion Today: In The Volume of The Book

in HeartChurch5 years ago

Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. — Hebrews 10:7 (KJV).

Called from the foundation of the world to be a blessing to our generation, we are greater than we can imagine.

Lo, we come, Hallelujah. We have come to live in righteousness. We have come to love people. We have come to heal the brokenhearted through Christ.

We have come to show kindness. We have come to live like Christ on earth. These are what is written about us in the volumes of God's word.

God's report card is what matters, and the report is perfect. Whatever is written about us must be established and fulfilled, the situations of life notwithstanding.

To do the will of God, we have come. Thus, if we are not doing His will, we haven't started living.

Life is a bundle of vanities without the will of God manifesting daily in our lives. His will is His word! Let us live by it.

We are not called to tear each other apart, but assist everyone to rise to their purpose.

We are not called to hate, but love. We are not called into lies, but truth, according to my gospel.

We are not called into evil, but goodness. We are not called into sin but righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Nothing is a surprise to God. In the volumes of the book of our lives, we were scheduled to meet that unpleasant person, situations or issues.

It's not a surprise to God that some folks won't like us, no matter what we do. So, brethren we are called to act on God's word, not to react to how people choose to treat us.

We don't have time to leave acting on our call and react to mere human behaviors. Let Christ be our standard and we'll fulfill all that is written concerning us in the master's manual.

Let's pray. Almighty Father, thank you for bringing us into your will at a time like this. Please help us to focus on what you called us to do. Let every distractions give way, that your glorious purpose be fulfilled in our lives, in Jesus's name. Amen. I love you.
