James 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
One of the easiest sin that the devil uses in fighting the children of God is grudge.
Grudge is the keeping of people's record of wrongdoing to us as a result of refusal to forgive them.
It is a dangerous evil that can reside in the heart, despite the smiles and lifting of holy hands in the church.
Today, the Holy Spirit warns us against keeping grudges.
This is because, if we don't forgive others, God can't forgive us. There's a greater sin in us to be forgiven by God.
No amount of sin or betrayal or atrocity is unforgivable. Let go of it and be free again. Let love reign in our lives.
The judge is watching! Grudges can make us stand condemned, irrespective of the wickedness that made us to grudge.
Thus, God is more interested in the details of the purity of our hearts, not why we are bitter.
Let it go today and the peace of God shall rule your heart.
Let's pray together.
Merciful Father, thank you for giving us peace in Christ. Please deliver us from grudges, that we may stand justified at last, in Jesus name. Amen.
