There is no path earmarked for man under the sun that is void of adversaries. Enemies abound! If your reason for following the Lord is to avoid adversaries; you will be highly disappointed, because there lots and lots of enemy situations that will line up against you. The mere fact that you have chosen God’s way, makes the whole of hell to go after you.
In the midst of all that the devil comes up with; the Lord assures us that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ, Who loved us and gave Himself for us. There is no path too holy for which the devil ever gets scared. He is such a deviant; that though he knows he will fail, he will still seek to try. All he needs is to identify the goodness of God on your path; once he does, he goes all out for an attack and that is why he is the ‘devil’ – the hater of divine goods.
When God promised to send the seed of the woman to bruise the head of the serpent; the devil went against mankind, sniffing every conceivable angle, in an attempt to oppose the Word of God. He started with the strife he masterminded between Cain and Abel. Cain became a murderer by killing his brother Abel. Where did he learn it from? The devil of course! Why? It was because of the promise of the seed of the woman.

On and on, with the fallen angels who slept with the daughters of men, giving rise to abnormal human beings; it was the devil going after the promise of God gave, in an attempt to rubbish anything that has to with the seed of the woman. The devil continued to the birth of Jesus, when Herod sought to kill all male children born among the Israelites. In it all, it turned out to be an attempt of failure.
It doesn’t matter how long the devil has attempted to go against you and the goods of the Lord upon your life; Scriptures cannot be broken, they shall all turn out to be an attempt of failure, because he shall fail on all sides. When God sent Moses to Pharaoh to let His people go; God whispered into his ears that it wasn’t going to be as straight forward, because pharaoh was going to oppose it.
Adversaries being on your path is not to scare you in any way; it is just for you to be in the know. No matter how many they are and how they come: “Thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ” 2 Corinthians 2:14.
