I like it very much, when my soul is aware that God is its Lord and owner. I am pleased to know that I am a daughter of God and that He is my eternal Father.
God as a good father, gives good things to his children and watches over their safety. God behaves like a shepherd who knows every detail of his sheep and treats them in such a way that nothing is missing. God has them in a well protected and safe place. It takes care of them in a very special way that guarantees everything they may need.
Outside the fold the sheep are in danger and outside the shepherd's protection any wild beast can devour them.
King David recognizes and understands that, outside of God's covering, there is nothing good for his soul, but great danger. David said, "There is nothing good for me outside of you."
This same expression applies to Christians today. It must be recognized that if we are outside the cover of God, we are easy prey to be devoured by Satan.
If we distance ourselves from God, it won't be long before problems come and corner us in a way that makes us lose the peace we had in Christ. It is necessary to remain within the fold of the Lord and enjoy all its benefits for our lives.
That's a good one as we draw near to God, He definitely draw near to us with love and mercy....in doing this He gives us a right standing with Him in heavenly places.
