SCRIPTURAL REASONING
James 5:19-20 (KJV) Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
When we reproof those who do wrong and make them change from their sinful ways, we are actually saving souls from death.
But we have the opposite in operation among us. Many of us don't want to tell people their wrongs. We are afraid of how they will react. Sometimes, we choose to discuss these wrong doers with others rather than face the person concerned. Other times, we pretend as if nothing is wrong (especially if the person concern is our principal at work). Are we not watching them heading to death without helping?
Why will I discuss with another person instead of telling he who is concerned? Why will I choose to preserve my self esteem rather than save a soul? Why will I keep quiet to secure my job rather than correct my boss? Which one will please our heavenly Father?
Father, have mercy on us and give us the courage and boldness to do what we have to do for the salvation of others.
