Our fatherland is now a farther land,
our motherland is now a land of murders and murderers.
Yet no place like home, where do we run to?
Speaking up was supposed to be a norm,
but who dares to when the worms in our stomachs feed greedily on our intestines,
and the shootings and killings are not stopped?

But lo! The mouth that crieth Ichabod, shall proclaim glory,
for revival has been ignited in Nigeria,
and Nigeria shall be known for her righteousness,
people shall come to her light,
nations shall bow before her,
for Nigeria shall be great again.

We hope we live to tell the story;
the story of the patriotic fight fought sixty years ago and even now,
We hope our children eat the good incorruptible fruit we have sowed,
we hope our generation enjoys the milk and honey of the land,
we hope the labour of our past and present heroes never die in vain.

NIGERIA SHALL RISE AGAIN!!!

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
