BE FAITHFUL WHEN TESTED

Jesus state the certainty of persecution for Christians in this world. the church in Smyrna was encouraged to remain faithful as they endure persecution.

The city of Smyrna (modern day Izmir Turkey) was located on the coast and was in harbor City.

the church was under the woman who and they were not treated well.
though materially poor, the city of Smyrna believers were spiritually which.

god promised them the crown of life as a reward for their faithfulness.

which can be found in revelation chapter 2 verse 8 to 11

And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; [9] I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. [10] Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. [11] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

everyone who follow Jesus must be prepared for a measure of rejection from the people of this world. Jesus says blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness for their is the kingdom of heaven.

it is so unfortunately that many people think them following or giving their life to Jesus means they will be no persercution, trials or rejection. they believe everything will be smoke and Rosy .

But the actual fact is that it is not true. The moment you give your life to Jesus Christ, be expecting trials, tribulations, persecution and rejection from every angle even from the one you least expect.

what giving your life to Jesus will help you to do is that it will help you to have the required personality in you which is the holy spirit to help you and guide to overcome those trials, temptation, persecution and tribulations.

The holy spirit will help you as you can not overcome those I have mentioned above by your own strength.

are you going to persecution for your faith Jesus says do not be discouraged hold on and endure to the end. as you pass through trials and enjoy time and as you pass with others and you enjoy them you become more like Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

Even Jesus himself our role model pass through persecution when he was on Earth but he overcome them by the help of the father.

So also us, we will pass through persecution like I have said but be 100% rest assured that your heavenly father will help you as he will never let those storms you are passing through to overcome you

at the end you will reign with him. going to a test is tough coming out of it is rewarding.

only those who endure to the end shall be saved. only those who did not give up will be saved and reign with him.

are you ready to endure for his sake to the end and not compromise the faith you have in him. what I can tell you is that will be the best decision you will ever decide to make.
