Greetings to everyone! Welcome to my blog again and today, we shall be looking at an interesting topic titled The glory of God

I'm going to be very brief and I trust that you will get more inspiration from the Holy Spirit as he would help you open it up clearly.

Glory.

Glory means a great beauty that is full of honour and it is most time considered powerful. There might be many things of same class, but Glory distinguishes one from others.

The glory of God is not a beauty as it applies to the sense of a man. God's Glory springs from his nature and all that he is. There are glories of Men. The Glory of a man emanates from how influential he is amidst others. No matter how a man gets his glory,(as it applies to the sense) it will one day fade away. I mean no matter how beautiful it is.

James 1:10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

God's Glory just like the title of the topic can be seen all around us most especially in the things he created.
Everything God created shows forth his Glory. I mean, all things including nature itself. God's Glory is the source from which all smaller glories run.
All things that were made of God shows the glory of God. Don't forget that I said glory means a great from of beauty that is honourable, full of valour and it's likely considered powerful. Hence, Glory is meant to reveal the manifestation of something or an entity.
When you look at the flower, it's glory is in its brightness and beauty. Now, as beautiful as that flower is, it is actually showing forth Glory of God
Heaven is not exempted from this case, they declare the glory of God. Even the firmament shows forth his handy work. Hallelujah!
Seasons, days and all that God had created manifest his beauty and his Glory.

Psalms 19:1-4 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Man is not exempted from the creature that should show forth the beauty of God. As a matter of fact, man's dimension of showing forth his beauty is higher compared to every other creatures. Man was meant to embody the image, likeness and the nature of God. If everything is meant to show God's glory, how much more is Man? The glory of God is the very one a man must strife to be crowed with and not the glories of this world that would surely pass away. I. E. man is to seek the showing forth of God's glory even in his life. This is the purpose of a Man. Isaiah 43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

As interesting as the afore mentioned statement, the beauty of the Glory of God has no end. You can't just give it an exact explanation. It is full of valour so much that as heaven is far above the earth so is his Glory. No man can see it's end. Hallelujah! As much as we want to give an explanation to how beautiful his glory is, we will soon come to discover that he is bigger than even our explanation.

Everything God had created are meant to show his Glory Wed in the end, the glory is meant to be ascribe to him and him alone. God is ever jealous over his glory and that is why he won't ever share it with anything. Not even nature. Glory be to GOD! Man in his sense has its own glory that is often tied to riches. That is no glory at all. In the standard of God, it is expedient for us not to see the glory of a man as a glory. The glory of a man shall sure fade away. (give it time).
As we sojourn through this sphere called life, the glory of God should be seen in our life as a man whom God made and has created in his own image. Anything void of this would expose a man to God's wrath. Sin is a factor that would make a man not fulfil God's plan and purpose for his life. The wrath of God is always kindled against anyone who would not show forth his Glory.

Romans 1:18-25. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For us to come into the state at which we can show forth his Glory, we must learn from a man who during his earthly stay here on earth, showed forth the beauty and the Glory of God. That man is Jesus Christ.
If a man wants to show forth God's glory, such a man must subject his life under the will of God by learning from. Christ how he effectively show forth God's glory forgetting the glory that men had tied to riches. He is our standard and a perfect example of who to emulate.

Hebrews 1:1-3. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Christ the son of God is the glory of God revealed in its perfect sense according to the standard of God. You are yet to manifest and show his glory if your life is not patterned in accordance to his way.

How to show forth his Glory.

  1. Confess your Sin. It can only take a sinless man to show forth God's glory. Psalms 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. it is sin that has made man fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23).

  2. You must accept Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour

1 Peter 1:23. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

You must accept that Jesus must be the ruler of your life. Your master. Someone you depend on.

  1. One must make Faith a lifestyle without any iota of unbelief. Faith in itself is a criterion into pleasing God.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

  1. Lastly. Always pray.

Psalms 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

When we do all these, we are actually showing forth his Glory. God is light. When we show forth is glory as light, we present him as light too. When men see this light, they have no choice but to glorify your father that is in heaven.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

SHALOM!
