honestly... i really liked the original wood! the thick glossy overcoat wasn't too nice, but the wood itself looked beautiful to me. 🤷

Hm, yeah, it had a charm too, I agree. 😉 But now imagine a big wardrobe of the same colour (and gloss and odd legs :D) covering one wall - it makes the room of the youngster a bit old-fashioned and dark. I do have older pieces of furniture in my bedroom, it looks nice and I like it a lot, so that set stays 😇
yeah... i can see how the youngens wouldn't appreciate the earthyness of all that old fashioned wood too much ;)
