Hanging jute planters, a simple idea to beautify the home

Greetings, my dear friends of @home.solutions. I hope you are well, with health and wellness, and that this week is of abundant blessings and success.

Today I want to share a simple and easy idea to hang our little plants in some jute mats. I decided to take advantage of the material I had left over from my last knitting project, giving a new life and use to those jute scraps that I like so much.

Hoy quiero compartir una idea sencilla y fácil para colgar nuestras plantitas en unos materos elaborados con yute. Decidí aprovechar el material que me había sobrado de mi último proyecto de tejido, dándole una nueva vida y utilidad a esos restos de yute que tanto me gustan.

Creating these hanging pots was a very rewarding experience. With all the materials I needed: jute, scissors and the pots I already had at home, I got to work.

I love jute for its durability and its natural, rustic look, which goes perfectly with the cozy atmosphere I like to maintain in my home.

Crear estos materos colgantes fue una experiencia muy gratificante. Con todos los materiales necesarios: el yute, unas tijeras y las macetas que ya tenía en casa me puse manos a la obra.

Me encanta el yute por su durabilidad y su aspecto natural y rústico, que combina perfectamente con el ambiente acogedor que me gusta mantener en mi hogar.

Step by step

I started by measuring and cutting the strips of jute, about a meter and a half each. I cut two to hang two pots. Next, I tied the strip in a tight knot at one end, which would serve as the base of the pot stand.

With the strip knotted, I laid it on the table stretched tightly. In the middle of the strip, I made a turn on each side to make a circle, which is the base for the pot. Then, I mounted one of the circles on the one in front of me, I arranged it to pass, then, the strip on the left side over and inside the circle. I did the same with the right side strip, but under and out of the circle.

When I had the two strips passed through, I placed the pot in the center and carefully adjusted and went up to the top of the pot where it has a rim that holds the jute strings, and that's it, and the pot is held in place for hanging without fear of it coming loose.

Paso a paso

Comencé midiendo y cortando las tiras de yute, de aproximadamente un metro y medio cada una. Corté dos para colgar dos macetas. Después, até la tira en un nudo fuerte en uno de los extremos, que serviría como la base del soporte para la maceta.

Con la tira anudada, la puse en la mesa bien estirada. En el medio de la tira, di una vuelta de cada lado para hacer un círculo que es la base para poner la maceta. Luego, monté uno de los círculos en el que tenía al frente, lo acomodé para pasar, luego, la tira del lado izquierdo por encima y por dentro del círculo. Hice lo mismo con la tira del lado derecho, pero por debajo y hacia afuera del círculo.

Cuando tuve las dos tires pasadas, puse la maceta en el centro y fui ajustando y subiendo, cuidadosamente, hasta la parte de arriba de la maceta donde tiene un borde que agarra las cuerdas de yute, y ¡listo! y la maceta está sostenida para colgarla, sin temor de que se suelte.

I loved this idea and felt proud to have made these hanging materos. I really enjoyed hanging these plants in my window, because they not only gave a beautifying touch to my home, but I also felt the satisfaction of having reused this material and creating something so beautiful with my own hands.
