En esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles como decoramos nuestras casas de alquiler para darles ideas de decoración.
Hello, good afternoon everyone! I hope you're all doing well. This time I want to show you how we decorated our rental house to give you decoration ideas.
Normalmente la gente no quiere invertir en los departamentos de alquiler porque piensan que es malgastar dinero ya que la casa no es propia y luego al irse, "se regala" el trabajo a otro. Pero yo no lo veo así. Para mí es muy importante sentirse cómodo y hacer de una casa un hogar. Al alquilar estamos pagando por un espacio para nosotros así que ponerlo en condiciones es un acto de amor hacia nosotros también.
Normally, people don't want to invest in rental apartments because they think it's a waste of money since the house isn't theirs, and when they leave, they're essentially giving their efforts away to someone else. But I don't see it that way. For me, it's very important to feel comfortable and to make a house a home. When we rent, we're paying for a space for ourselves, so putting it in good condition is an act of love towards ourselves as well.
Es por eso que a cada departamento que alquilé, le doy amor como si fuese mío. Porque al fin y al cabo es en donde voy a vivir los siguientes 3 años.
En mi departamento anterior, ya desde el primer día que llegué, pasé mucho tiempo limpiando. Pintando la mesa y sillas, pintando las paredes, eligiendo cuadros y objetos decorativos para hacerla más linda. Acá les muestro algunas fotos de ese proceso.
That's why with every apartment I've rented, I give it love as if it were my own. After all, it's where I'll be living for the next 3 years. In my previous apartment, from the very first day I arrived, I spent a lot of time cleaning. Painting the table and chairs, painting the walls, choosing pictures and decorative objects to make it nicer. Here are some photos of that process.
En este nuevo departamento, decidimos cambiar el color de las paredes porque las sentíamos muy oscuras y con mi novia creemos que siempre es mejor darle luminosidad y color al hogar para atraer luz y positividad. Así que así fue como pasamos de un color gris a un color rosa cálido.
También decidimos comprar un tapiz para adornar la pared. Elegimos ese diseño en particular porque amamos el mar y nuestro sueño es algún día poder vivir más cerca de él, así que es una forma de manifestarlo.
In this new apartment, we decided to change the color of the walls because we felt they were too dark, and my girlfriend and I believe that it's always better to bring brightness and color to the home to attract light and positivity. So, that's how we went from a gray color to a warm pink. We also decided to buy a tapestry to decorate the wall. We chose that particular design because we love the sea, and our dream is to someday live closer to it, so it's a way of manifesting it.

Recientemente agregamos en la otra pared que estaba vacía, un juego de estantes y objetos decorativos tales como plantas, cuadros con fotos familiares, un cartel que dice "Insista en construir desde el amor". Se volvió nuestro lugar favorito.
Recently, we added a set of shelves and decorative items such as plants, pictures with family photos, and a sign that says 'Insist on building from love' on the other empty wall. It became our favorite spot
También incluimos en el estante un cuadro de mis gatos realizado por mi tía en porcelana fría.
We also included a picture of my cats made by my aunt in cold porcelain on the shelf.
En la cocina, queremos hacer muchas cosas pero al tener pared con cerámica, no se puede atornillar ni poner estantes. Así que solo nos conformamos con cambiar el color del bajomesada. De azul a blanco. Miren como cambió!!
In the kitchen, we want to do many things, but since we have ceramic walls, we can't screw or put up shelves. So, we just settled for changing the color of the under-counter cabinet. From blue to white. Look how it changed!!
El balcón también es un lugar que decidimos cambiar y darle más amor porque al llegar vimos que la pared estaba manchada y no se pintaba hace mucho tiempo. Luego de darle atención, así quedó:
The balcony is also a place we decided to change and give more love to because when we arrived, we saw that the wall was stained and hadn't been painted in a long time. After giving it some attention, this is how it turned out:
Otro lugar que estoy en proceso de darle amor es mi escritorio. Yo trabajo desde mi casa así que para mí es muy importante tener un espacio lindo, cómodo y funcional en el que pueda pasar varias horas. Por lo que constantemente estoy buscando la manera de que sea más lindo. Así está por ahora, luego de que mi amiga agregara ese estante:
Another place that I'm in the process of giving love to is my desk. I work from home, so it's very important for me to have a nice, comfortable, and functional space where I can spend several hours. So, I'm constantly looking for ways to make it nicer. This is how it looks for now, after my friend added that shelf:
El baño es un lío porque tiene problemas de humedad pero decidimos adornarlo y organizarlo de modo que se vea lindo y habitable. Estamos orgullosas de nuestro trabajo ❤️
The bathroom is a mess because it has humidity issues, but we decided to decorate and organize it in a way that makes it look nice and livable. We're proud of our work ❤️
En fin. La conclusión a la que quiero llegar es que no importa que la casa no sea propia, lo importante es hacerla un hogar y que sea un lugar en el que elijas estar. En el que te sientas cómodo y te haga sentir feliz junto a tu familia.
The conclusion I want to reach is that it doesn't matter if the house isn't your own; what's important is to make it a home and a place where you choose to be. A place where you feel comfortable and it makes you happy alongside your family.

Me ha encantado tu post porque concuerdo totalmente contigo, es un acto de amor, de buscar estar a gusto con nuestro espacio, y me parece genial que les permitan hacer esos cambios porque en muchos lugares no dejan poner ni un clavo en la pared pero siempre se pueden agregar detalles que nos hagan sentir en casa.

Totalmente! Por suerte este departamento no necesitaba arreglos, salvo algunas cositas mínimas pero por suerte la dueña está muy encantada con que le cuidemos su departamento y siempre accede a todas estas ideas que tenemos.

Muy lindo todooo. Siempre tenemos que sentirnos cómodos en los lugares que habitemos, no importa si es temporal o para siempre. Lo importante es que estemos a gusto. Muy buenas todas estas remodelaciones, más que nada la de la cocina que hizo la gran diferencia 💕
Sí, la verdad es que el haber sacado ese color azul le dio luminosidad y parece más grande. Esperamos pronto hacer más cambios y volver a esta comunidad a mostrarlo!
