I've been away from here for a while but thought I'd share a couple of shots from last weekends trip out with @fastchrisuk up at Padley Gorge in the Peak District.
Taken - Title Image
A simply superb and long overdue evening at Padley Gorge this evening with Chris T.
Social distancing was observed throughout and many lights were waved about.
This one was my stand out shot of the evening and the last to be captured.
I did a shot using a similar pov at the beginning of the year at dusk but never after dark and never using my BLS.
Chris fired the shutter then I walked across the bridge, illuminating as I went and then we stood about and chatted for about 5 minutes to allow the ambient light to burn in.
The Pala Teth inspired BLS made by Paul at LACE is an absolute joy to use and the quality of light it produces is so ethereal.
I love it.
Cheers to Chris for an awesome evening and I can't wait to get back out again mate.
Happy Days
Here is a wider view of the bridge taken on the same night.
Once more using the Back light Scanner to illuminate the bridge.
This shot was taken before the others at a rather beautiful tree with its millstone companion.
Lighting provided by the scanner, small red torch and a Ryus Lightworks torch to lift the shadows.
These are all single long exposure photographs taken in the black of night.
I hope you enjoyed these shots and there will be more to come over the coming weeks.

Thank you. I love this place, it's so magical after dark.
I like the top one with the slightly purple tones in the sky. You got a few belters here, top night out pal!
Cheers mate. It was an awesomely chill night out and a great catch up. Here's to the next one.
