Sometimes with lightpainting you turn up to some dark remote location with the wrong tools. Or worse, you left all your spare batteries at home and the only tool you have left is an orb tool. This is a set where I was making it up as I go because yours truly messed up and forgot the batteries....
With this shot, I arrived at this railway underpass and started randomly waving the orb tool in circles then it ocurred to me that I could place a burst of torch light bang in the centre of the spin. It took me a few attempts to make my OCD happy before I nailed this in one photographic exposure:
This involved a similar level of OCD on a recent trip out in the dark with @fadetoblack :
And this was something a bit 'old school' where this crazy arts graduate and martial arts expert wanted to wave lights around in the dark. I used my old school home made orb tool set to a colour changing mode and Debra here moved around the frame seemingly carefree but stopped at certain points to fire the flash to freeze her without overwriting the multiple Debra's!
All of the above were shot in one photographic exposure and are not Photoshop creations!
