Using an old favourite lightpainting tool

in Lightpainters United4 years ago

Over the years I've been lightpainting, not many of the tools I use last the distance. Or indeed carry on being suitable for the effects I'm trying to achieve. This is a post dedicated to the LED Lenser X21r2 flashlight, a 3500 lumen beast of a torch with it's great focussed beam. I've owned one of these for at least 5 years now and it's still going strong, if a little somewhat battered and chipped.

Last night myself and a few ne 'er do well lightpainters ventured in to an abandoned factory complex to wave lights in the dark. Here Rob B is holding an LED Lenser X21r2 flashlight aloft and lit for 5 seconds during a longer exposure:

I'm lucky enough to live next to Sherwood Forest which happens to be a great place to wave lights:

The beam from the LED Lenser works even better when there's moisture in the air. This is Roche Abbey in South Yorkshire, England; an abandoned ancient monastery:

And finally, another one from Sherwood Forest, albeit on the Duke of Portland's estate where we weren't supposed to be.....

All of the above images were created in one photographic exposure and are not Photoshop creations.

About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
