Advent Advent...my thumb is burning - Lightpainting on Hive

DSC_0733edWeb.JPG

Hi folks,

first of all, I wish you a happy 1st Advent, stay healthy!

This image was taken very spontaneously when I saw a Christmas commercial. 🎄

The realisation of the image idea turned out to be difficult and the night turned into a nightmare. The biggest difficulty for me was to hold my left hand in the picture as a model hand (the thumb had to be in the right place) and at the same time blow a portion of vape into the scene while the camera was triggered and the flash was fired. After many frustrating attempts in two nights, this is the best result I can show you today. I think there is much more possible, especially if you have one helping hand more.😉

What is lightpainting?

Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
