An Era comes to an end with the Death of James Earl Jones

American actor James Earl Jones passed away on 9th of September 2024 at the age of 93 at his home in New York.

The legendary actor and voice actor is most recognizable as the voice of Darth Vader from the Star Wars films, and as the voice of Mufasa from The Lion King.

In addition to roles films, Jones became known for voicing two of the most legendary characters on the big screen • He provided the voice of Darth Vader in "Star Wars" and the voice of Mufasa in "The Lion King" • Today he passed away .

He performed the legendary acting roles in a variety of Hollywood movies - "Discovering America" and "Field of Dreams" are two of such movies. He received an Oscar nomination for his role in the movie "The Great White Hope". Despite of losing the award for which he was nominated, Jones joined the coveted Hollywood club in 2011 with an honorary Academy Award.

He was the among the few performers who received Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards, also known as EGOT.

Jones established himself as one of the pioneering actors of his generation. He built a rich and varied career spanning more than 60 years, from his Broadway debut in 1958 at the Court Theater — renamed after him in 2022 — to his final appearance in "King Comes to America 2" in 2021.
