i find for me the best thing to do to get traction is post at a specific time (for me between 6pm-8pm PDT), when activity is higher and posting in a community(make sure its a very active community) rather then hash tagging to the main feed. You seem to be doing all that, so I'm not sure? I think its also a little luck of the draw on whose seeing your posts. Once you get a few whales to upvote you, you get seen much better it seems as people watch their activity.
