Italian car manufacturer Lancia is the most successful rally manufacturer in history of World Rally Championship. Toyota is very close to them potential 9th manufacturer crown so maybe it is time for Lancia to make a comeback.
They already announced Rally2 car for 2026 and because we know that WRC27 cars will be based on Rally2 machinery (but with tubular chassis), thoughts about potential comeback are very real.
Lancia revealed Rally2 car recently and said: 'It is only beginning...' which means that they think of comeback from 2027 because rules will bring much cheaper development of cars.
Interesting times are in front of rally world...

I remember watching the old Lancias on TV. I think rallying was a little more crazy back then with cars like the Metro 6R4. I guess the rules have changed a bit since then.
