I feel like it might have a small affect on getting parents thinking about how much time their kids are spending online, but that will likely quickly go to the back of people's minds. The reality is that how a child navigates life has more aspects to it than whether they're exposed or not exposed to certain things.
There's such a trend for blaming parents for their problems on "mistakes" they made when raising them, but children can have the same experiences and have quite different outcomes depending on how they respond to them.
