The music continues!

If you missed them be sure to check out Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8, Part 9, Part 10, Part 11, Part 12, Part 13, Part 14, Part 15, Part 16, Part 17, Part 18, Part 19, Part 20, and Part 21.

So once again I'm covering a song by the incredible Sean Hayes. Last week I talked about how he combines melodic folk with funk and rhythm and I covered his song "Flowering Spade" which was more on the melodic side. This week I'm covering a song that is much more on the funky side. It's honestly one of my favorite Sean Hayes songs just because it's so fun to listen to. This song is the title track of his third album which came out in 2003 which is a great album full of awesome tunes. The song is called 'Alabama Chicken' which as the title suggests is about a chicken in Alabama. And so without further ado... here is my cover of 'Alabama Chicken'!

You can find out more about Sean at his website - https://www.seanhayesmusic.com/, and you can hear the album version of 'Alabama Chicken' here, but my favorite version to listen to is this live recording. And be sure to stay tuned for more Sean Hayes covers coming soon!

And so until next time...

I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into

My California!!

New guitar?!

Kinda. I've had it like 6 months or so now. And I got it used. But I got it free as a gift from a friend and I think it sounds pretty good!

lol, I got a free guitar from a neighbor once. An acoustic Yamaha. It has a trust rod in it. It’s always had good action, and it stays in tune. Still one of the easiest acoustics I’ve ever played.

Both mine are Yamahas. They're good guitars.

They are.

Interesting concept - hopefully enough for the whole crew! Well done!

Congratulations @derekrichardson, your post won 2nd prize in this weeks Show us Your California contest!!
