A Picture is worth a thousand words

This picture reminds me of my early days in school, that was a few months after I was given admission. I loved my company the most at that time, I could go to the class when nobody was there and just sit , sometimes I choose to read and other times just take a break from everything. I had a few bucks then and I had no worries, all I wanted to do was just study and pass my examination. It's obvious there was no one in the class at that time, just me and the empty classroom that echoed every word I spoke.

Two things strike memory, the T-shirt I wore and the empty classroom. The T-shirt was sold during Life 2016, it was a program held by NIFES, a Christian fellowship every year. I remember the excos behind the T-shirt, it was one of the best T-shirts ever made while I was in school and the T-shirt I owned was given to the girl I dated then. Merely looking at the picture I can tell the year and the time of the year. The enthusiasm that still floods in my blood as a new student and my desire to be part of everything that was happening.

The empty classroom reminds me of my routine back then. A student who wanted a serene environment, some peace and quiet. A routine that faded like smoke in a short space. It seemed year one for every student always carrying a spirit that required quietness. Probably a culture that would help us embrace the spirit of School, and then fade with each passing day.

Again I see my glowing skin, that freshness that every fresher brings in before the real deal starts. We assume we will remain that young and fresh but before we realize it, the skin starts to wrinkle from the stress of lectures and meeting up deadlines . The picture says a lot, how time flies, it was just like yesterday but 9 years have gone and I just look at the picture and smile. The classroom is for every undergraduate and that tells where I was.
