‎Being a student is learning to live a life of many personalities, nothing being this or the other but everything at once. When it comes to bring a student, resources matters a lot, the more resources a student have access to the lesser the pressure to get involved extra activities for the sake of earning income. Like I have said before, most schools are designed to suck student dry and in order for a student to ensure they remain afloat they have to always be on the look out for ways to earn a living.

‎In my own case, I was never really pressured by lack of resources but I just wanted more. Throughout my days in schools, my needs was catered for by my parents and it is something I'm grateful for but the thing with students is that, no amount of money is ever enough, there is always something to use money for, either extracurricular activities or to fund a dream that is personal.

‎My social life in school was nonexistent, I never had the intention of getting involved in anything that might distract my attention from my studies but despite my determination to stay focused on my education, I was and I'm a business oriented person. So I embarked on the kind of business someone with my kind of personality would do, academic related business. It started during national diploma and continued till I finished my higher national diploma.

‎I was into offering any form of academic assistant, ranging from any assignment that has to do with typing and printing, scriptwriting and printing of documents. As I got better as a broadcast student, I also offered video editing services. During my higher national diploma days my skill sets improved and I was offering writing of research proposal and research project on a full scale. I made a lot of income on this because lot of students feel too lazy to do their research project themselves, I guess i should be grateful for the availability of lazy students.

‎Apart from this, I also have hive at one corner, though my level of busyness reduced my level of consistency on hive blog but I tired my best to show up whenever I can. So as far as side hustles goes, these are things I engaged in that assisted me in making extra income throughout my academic years.

This write-up was inspired by weekly prompt "Side hustle or part-time job you have tried" in hive student connect community.
