Hello my Hive Student Connect, it's great to be back here once again to share my thoughts on the prompt of this week. It's all about time travel, so grab your popcorn 🍿 and come along with me.
"If you could travel through time, would you go to the past or the future? Explain why."
If someone had asked me this question around seven years ago, without hesitation I would have said "give me the chance to travel into the future and take a glance at how my life will turn out." That was the time I was very much curious about many things regarding my future. Who to marry, how my business would turn out and a few other things I would have wanted to dearly have an answer to.
In my world today, all the mentioned things above have materialized and so my curiosity is not that high. Presently, I'm enjoying my present and knowing what the future will hold is not that much of a curiosity. I just want to enjoy the process as much as I can while my future slowly unfolds at its due time.
Will I go back to the past and make some corrections, or perhaps relive a fond memory?
In as much as I don't do regrets, in any situation I find myself, I always strive to do my best with every information at my disposal, and however things turn out, I take the outcomes in good faith without spending time dwelling on any mistakes I might have made along the line.
However, if I have the chance to go back to my past to change some decisions, I will just go back in time and make one single decision I wish I made many years ago. January 2015 to be precise, that was the last time Bitcoin was worth just $150. I was just being mobilized to undergo my compulsory service year. I met this friend in camp who later became my lodge mate, he was telling me about a digital currency, Bitcoin, that was the first time I picked interest in crypto but even then, I couldn't grasp his explanations of Bitcoin, when he was talking about mining, Blockchain and so on. And I never thought about investing in it. I didn't know how even if I wanted to.
Later in 2015 Bitcoin was around $500 and look at where Bitcoin is today. Imagine If my understanding about cryptocurrency was adequate and I could have acquired just twenty Bitcoin. If I know what I know now, I could have tried harder to understand what my NYSC friend was telling me back then about Bitcoin, and today I could have been rich enough to live off crypto hehe. And who knows, maybe my username name might be cryptoqueen lol.
I can bet I'm not the only one on this table, wishing we had taken some right action when Bitcoin was just at a price of a pizza 🍕 lol. And if this is you, you are not alone, and the good news is we are here now, with better knowledge even though with limited opportunities, but we are lucky to have found Hive, some aren't even aware of Hive yet. I say we keep building the Blockchain we love. And who knows, someday all this stacking will be worth more than we could ever imagine.
Now I invite my friends @ozd, @ibbtammy and @lecia89 to join in this contest. Time travel to the future or your past, tell us why.
Bye guys,
see you around 👏❣️😊 @funshee

Lol 😂
I also met someone during NYSC who told me about Bitcoin and was willing to put me through and even invest some amount of money for me but since it was my first time hearing it and I was sure what it was I just ignored him.
I would also want to go back to the past and take advantage of alot of information I took for granted
Hahah, back then we thought things like Internet money weren't very real, but look where we are today.
If only we have a time machine lol 😂
Truly if only there's a time machine 😂
I never imagined they had to do mandatory military service... wow... Regarding what you said at the beginning, good for you for living in the present!
Hugs!
