I think the subject of School study partners is an important one, even though we don't seem to talk about it enough.
I'm someone who believes that the kind of study partners one has can influence someone's academic results. The right study partners can help one climb the ladder of academy success while the wrong ones can be a person downfall. Anyone who wants to excel academically needs to be intentional about who they let into their study cycle.
Are your study partners the type that push you to work hard and put in all your best, or are they your source of distractions? While you think about that, let me share a story about a group of students from my school days.
They were friends who hung out a lot, partying and doing all sorts of things even when they were supposed to be studying. But one out of this group of friends would go back to his hostel every night to study hard like his life depended on it, while the rest of his friends never paid attention to the main reason they were in the school system. Their first-semester results came out, they all failed except for the one person who studied all night. Of course, the rest of the group accused him of not carrying them along.
During my school days, getting myself great study partners was very easy. Being a student of math and statistics, my department was full with some of the best brains in my school, I never waisted time to attach myself to them lol, among them became my very close friends who we not only shared our studies time together but became great friends outside the classroom, that even till today some of them are still a great part of my cycle.
These friends made discovering myself a lot easier, they push me to work harder because they were so brilliant and I do not want to be left behind their mark. I had a rule those days, if I would let you into my study cycle, it's either you can influenced me to be better academically or I can influenced you to be better academically, I do not welcome anyone who could become a distraction to my study.
Having some serious minded friends who knows why they were in the school environment is very instrumental to how I turned out at the end of my academic years. They simply made the journey easy and enjoyable for me.
What do I look out for in a study partners
You can be my roommate or a friend but not my study partner, it depends on how we can relate academically, I needed someone we can lit each other up, challenges and encourage one another to put in our best. As a student I was very particular about the kind of friends I let into my study cycle. I have seen how mixing and relying on the wrong set of friends can jeopardize my academic goals. And then I was lucky I have the right people to call my study partners in abundant, these are friends I can rely on any day anytime to figure out a difficult class work or assignment together.
More than study partners
They become more than study partners, they were my friends, my cheer leaders, my motivation and people I can rely on. We believed in ourselves, lookout for each other and ever ready to help each other climb the ladder of academy success.
Be careful who you let in into your study cycle
This is the part where some students get in wrong, not everyone should be your study partners, some friends can be a great distraction if one is not careful. And again, one.
need to know themselves and know the kind of friends that would be a great plus for them and not a minus. A study partners should be a plus to one's academic goals and not a distraction.

I agree with you, not everyone should be your study partner, back then in school, we were 4 who studied together, we were like magnet that's attract positive energy, we pushed ourselves so hard and our results was the outcome, we were among the top 15 in our department

This is really right, I knew someone who suffered this in her academic until I told her to leave those study partners and get herself serious study partners.
We need to really choose study partners that want to see us progress
