Hello friends.. How are you doing? Trust y'all are having a great time? Well, here's my post for this week's contest topic. The weight we carry while learning mostly can't be seen. Most times, It is not just textbooks, assignments, or exams we face, but it's the silent pressure that sits in our minds and heart. Sometimes, the expectations we aim so high to succeed, make it in life, make parents proud, weighs us down. It just feels like a test of worth.
Also, the weight of comparison, watching our mates become more successful than us, score higher can make us to question our own progress. We shouldn't forget that learning is not a race, rather it is a personal journey with different timelines. This is more reason why I've worked so hard by sewing clothes here in school to make ends meet and to achieve my aimed goals while learning too.
The fear of disappointing others, fear of not knowing what comes after school. Many students carry this silently, smiling outside while battling anxiety inside because of lack of employment. Education asks us to grow, but growth often comes with uncertainty. But the honest truth here is that learning comes with long nights, mental overload, constant responsibilities, exhaustion, consumes rest, hobbies, laughter, and connection, it stops nourishing the mind and starts burdening the spirit. We have taken learning like it was meant to crush happiness. At its best, education should expand curiosity, build confidence, and give meaning.*
The truth is, the weight becomes lighter when we allow balance, resting without guilt, asking for help without shame, celebrating small progress, and remembering that grades are only one part of growth, and we are not machines designed only to produce results, because we are humans and learning never ends..
