What is the funniest or most memorable experience you've had in school? So let's dive in
Being a student, I have a lot of funny and memorable experiences, but I will mention two of them. Let me start with the funny one.
That day happened to be when I was in my first semester of 300 level. I was having three lectures that day, and the third lectures was a presentation. The lecturer taking us that course was Mr. Noah. Before the presentation day, he had grouped us and given each group topics to work on. That day, he said from group one to six would present, and my group happened to be group four. After about one-third of the groups had presented, it reached our turn. In my group, I was the fourth person to present.
The night before, we cooked beans, and since then I had been farting nonstop. Unfortunately for me, when it got to my turn to present, halfway through the presentation, I mistakenly let out a loud fart. The smell was so strong. My group members who were staying at my back immediately moved away from me, and the rest of my coursemates, including the lecturer, started perceiving the smell because my fart was smelling like a dead rat. Our lecturer was just giving me a death stare while all of my coursemates including my friends started laughing at me.
I couldn’t bear the embarrassment, so I ran out of the class. I didn’t step back in for the rest of the presentation. Later, when I got home and told my brother and roommate, they laughed at me too. As if God knew how I felt, the next day was Friday. Because I couldn’t face my coursemates, I didn’t go to school at all. I stayed at home and only went back on Monday. Even then, I wore a face mask to cover my face because I still felt embarrassed, thinking my coursemates would continue laughing at me. Since then, my friends named me "Tosin the Fart Lady". Whenever we have presentations, some of my coursemates still joke and tell me not to fart again.
The second one was a memorable experience. I’ve mentioned it on Hive before. It happened during my 200-level first semester, during our cultural day. Our lecturer asked us to group ourselves according to our tribes, and since I’m Yoruba, he appointed me as the Yoruba group leader. On our cultural day, it was so memorable because out of the seven groups that presented, we came first. The other groups also did well, but ours stood out.
It was memorable because I got to learn about how other tribes showcased their culture. Each group also cooked their traditional food. As the Yoruba group, we cooked Ekuru (fermented bean cake), okra, ponmo (cow skin), mineral, and fried stew. Till today, no one has done exactly what we did. Even our lecturer said he missed our time, and our 400-level students, who were in 300 at that time, admitted that we tried and beat them also. I can never forget that experience.
In conclusion, whenever I remember those moments, I always laugh and feel happy because they remain some of my best experiences in school.

Wow, coming first place in a cultural event is no small thing o. You guys deserved it.
As for the funny and embarrassing moment, it happens but you survived it and now you tell the story with a smile.

Yes, I was embarrassed because I wasn't expecting such to happen that day.
Weldon Tosin the fart lady 🤣🤣, thank for sharing. I was just laughing reading this, beans is a no go area if you have anything serious to do.
😂😂😂😂, I swear there's no day that I will eat beans that I won't fart. I just don't expect that my fart will disgrace me that day.
