Welcome to hive student connect, this week prompt I want to talk about what I dream of inventing as a student.
Some teachers or lecturers are so fast in class while teaching or lecturing making it difficult for students to dedicate what they are teaching or lecturing most of the time.
Sometimes a student might be medically not okay and not strong enough but will still want to go to school, being in school but not being able to listen or dedicate because of his or her health.
In a case like this I will suggest recording as the best option but it has disadvantage,for secondary school students most schools don't allow phones while for schools that allow phones you don't use it in the class during class hours.
While in a tertiary institution the class is mostly large and noisy, not allowing what you record clear enough.I once tried recording on getting home,I couldn't listen to it because of the noise.
If I am asked to invent an app or device that helps with learning I will still go for a recorder but this time around it will be different and unique.
First I will make it in the form of a pen making it usable for everyone and easy to carry around with our being questioned or restricted.
Second it will be in a way it will be able to indicate the only one voice to record making the other sounds or voices in the background not relevant.
I will invent it in a way that when the teacher or lecturer comes to the class to teach or lecture, the subject is biology and the topic is photosynthesis.
The moment I write the subject: biology, topic: photosynthesis, on a book the recording pen begins to scan the whole class for the voice saying anything about photosynthesis and the moment it dedicates the voice it begins to record only the voice makes any other sounds or voices not relevant.
The pen will be chargeable and the ink will be refilled, and as for my inspiration I got it for an app called Shazam,it is a music app that is used whenever you want to download music but don't know the name of the artist or title of the music.
The moment you hear music playing in a background go to the app it will scan the room until it locates the music for you.
So I decided if someday I want to invent something for students,a pen with features like Shazam is the best option for me.

I love your idea. Such a pen would definitely come in handy.
I've also been in classes where you just see the teacher pouring out everything without being concerned if maybe we picked anything or not, some won't even talk out loud. Sometimes it's your noisy classmates. I just hope the noises and such wouldn't turn the head of our new pen invention😁.

To be honest, the moment I saw your title, I found it hilarious thinking it was going to be about a pen that will aid students in writing notes but you really swept me off my feet.
Your invention and the idea behind it is just mind-blowing. The fact that it will aim at capturing the lecturers voice alone makes it wow 😍.
I also use Shazam quite a lot to dictate songs I'm unfamiliar with and also for song lyrics. It's my go-to app for music.
