My academy wins.I am writing this week's prompt with a smile on my face, like I am proud of myself like big time.
I got admission to college of education in Akwangan Nasarawa State in the year 2024 after waiting for eight years after my senior secondary school.
Honestly with the fact that it has been a long time since I sat in a classroom I was scared of how it was going to look or how it was going to feel but that was not the worst part.
The examination period was my worst moment.I was very scared. I don't know what to do because I had so much thought in my head, like will I be able to write this exam? Will I even remember what I was reading? So many thoughts in my head, what if I fail? I keep asking questions that no one has answers to.
Then I decided to do my best.I told myself that the worst is to fail and if I fail I will be better next semester but giving up was not an option,I knew I had to give all my best.
Now firstly,this exam was my first exam in a classroom setting after eight years. Secondly I am not aware of how high institution exams settings are.
But yeah I have to do it. Which I did, wrote the exam, went home for break but I left my peace in the school, hahaha, it was not funny then but now it is.
Keep asking my course mate for any news about our results,they keep saying no. Not until we resumed then the result was out,I didn't waste time checking.
In my school, whenever our results are out, we go to the examiner's office to print it. Got there and discovered I was not the only one tense.
I printed the result just for me to check. I saw 3:84 CGP I was happy, very happy,I was expecting the worst but God came through for me.
I have had so many academic wins but this is my favorite because it was the first time I was scared of failing an exam and again I felt I could do it as long as I put my mind into it.

STOPWhen results are out, students tend to be tensed and I can’t agree less to that because I experienced it, too. Waiting for 8 years before finally gaining an admission can be scaring, too especially when you don’t know how institutions set exams and just starting again to read can be overwhelming but you did well in the end.
