This week's prompt is peer pressure, which is a common topic in our society today, and mostly discussed as a topic especially in high school.

There is a popular saying “if you can't beat them you join them” I don't believe in this philosophy,it doesn't work for me,to me "if you can't beat them you run”.
First of all, why start a fight you will not win? I hear people saying they change from positive to negative after meeting their friends, and I keep wondering how?
I only keep friends with my type of mindset. If we don't think alike,chase the same goals and dreams then we are not friends,I will hang out with you once in a while but never let you into my life.

And personally I don't try to change anyone, let your mindset be your mind set,if you choose to learn from me fine and I will also learn the positive side of you.
I had a group of friends during my junior secondary school but everyone parted ways after our junior secondary school,we reconnected after our senior secondary school.
I was in my home town Kafanchan Kaduna for a break,I told them I was around so we agreed to meet, when you met the topics being discussed amongst us were not my kind of topics.
We were just 18 years old at times but all they talked about was just clothes,boys, club and other people,we didn't even talk about ourselves,I realized they changed.

Now these guys are my very good friends and it is normal for me to want to feel included but those things were not my kind of thing.I love God so let's talk about God, I also love money so I like it when we talk about these two things.
I want to grow in life,so I keep friends that help me grow,I don't keep peers that pressure me. I know you would force your friendship on me, and you would hold me at gun point to do the things you do.
So true. And of a truth peer pressure really shows lives. And I must say I admire your decision and what you stand for, it is indeed more better to walk alone than follow the wrong crowd.

Yeah.. you can be different, you can isolate yourself from the circle if they don't care about your opinion. They're your friends but if their goals became pointless and unmatched with yours, it's wise to trade the friendship for your goals!
And in most cases what works for them don't work for me
