In school, friendship is one of the key things a student can't do without. No matter how careless or nonchalant a student is, they need friendship to feel a sense of belonging or to stay informed about school activities and even non-school activities. While I was schooling, I had friends in various forms, those that I hung out with, those I followed to read, and even friends I moved along with during religious hours.
In this context, I want to talk about my reading partner(s), how I found them and how we used to do it.

The school system has it that friendship in reading is a big motivator in taking one's academic pursuit very seriously. It’s not like one won’t get good results if they don’t have good reading partners, but when one does, one tends to focus more on the academic aspect compared to those who are all about hanging out at parties.
I met my reading and study partners during assignment work. I remember one in particular, Michael, during my 3rd year in school. I noticed how serious he always was whenever it came to assignment work, and I was always copying from him to submit my assignments. Sometimes, it wasn’t that the assignments were difficult; it was because I didn’t have the time to attend to them, and Michael was always up and doing. I didn’t waste time attaching myself to him, and that’s how we became partners in creating time to study, read, and do assignments. Anytime we were given assignments, we would make sure to work on them that same day before leaving school. We would always go to the library after the end of classes for the day to work on the assignments. Suddenly, I became one of the people other students were copying from to submit their assignments too.
