Benefits of having a handiwork.

Benefits of having a handiwork Hello, beautiful people. Hope you all are doing great. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Question of the week: What side hustle or part-time job have you tried? Having a handiwork of any kind can be of help to you in an unexpected way. I'm a testimony to that. I don't know how life could've been for me in school if not for the beautiful skill of mine.

The truth is, as a student, money is never enough for you. Because sometimes demands can come unexpectedly; in such a case, if you are not coming from a financially well to do home, you might end up begging to survive in school. So for me, I braid people's hair to cater for some of my needs in school. Thank God braiding is not something very difficult or that takes much time if you are good at it. It all started like a joke. One day a female neighbor of mine wanted to do her hair, and she said she was kind of feeling lazy to go out, so I offered to help wash and roll the hair for her.

At first she thought I was joking. I had rollers then, and my sister had a hand dryer. It was for our personal use, but I used it for her since money was involved. I washed the hair for her, dried it, and packed it well for her, and she was happy with my service and asked me again if I could braid. I just told her to try me, and we did. Before I knew it, her friends started coming to me to get their hair braided too. I made good cash back then; almost every Saturday I braided. Saturdays are the only free days, or should I say the day I set for making money. So yes, braiding hair was something I did that really helped me sustain myself in school.

And it wasn't really taking much of my time as a student, because it was something I was already into even before I went to school. There was no challenge, and it actually wasn't time-consuming. I could finish braiding and still do my laundry. I personally think everyone needs a handiwork, because you never can tell when you might need it. Braiding was my side hustle in school and it really helped me back then. Thank you for reading.

When you're good at what you do, you'll find customers trooping in for your services. Good that you leveraged that opportunity to help yourself sort out expenses in school

Yeah. Thanks for always supporting.
