My education my priority

My background helped me, I knew were I was coming From. Greetings, beautiful souls 🥰. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Question of the week says. What's your approach to dealing with peer pressure? Peer pressure is something that happens to almost everyone except otherwise at home or in school.

But one thing is knowing where you are coming from. Your background and family—let me share with you a little story about my experience while in school. So we were a group of four beautiful young girls. But one among us stands out the most, not because she is more beautiful than us, but because she has almost everything she wants: the latest clothes, expensive wigs, Carry designer bags, and more. But the money she was using to get all those things was coming from an illegal act.

At some point I wanted to join her and start life too so I can look like her; when I say "life," you know what I mean, right? But thank God I didn't take that part, and one of the things that helped me then was the fellowship I was attending. I was well known as a good sister then, so whatever that would tarnished my image, I wouldn't want that. But the one powerful thing that kept me in check was my family. I was an orphan before going to the university, not just an orphan, but the ideology of where I was coming from was that girl children are not important. Like education is not for girls.

I was the second female in my whole community to attend a university. So all that helped me to stay focused on the purpose of why I'm in that place. I stopped looking at how she looks or what she was wearing. Till I finished my school; those things help me stay in check. Like I said earlier, my fellowship and background/family are the reason why I didn't let what I was seeing over powdered me.Thanks for stopping by. See you next time.

I'm glad you didn't allow it to affect you. We should always look at the background we are coming from. Imagine you have followed your friend footsteps, it will have affected you resulting to your community people to be pointing fingers at you. Self discipline really matters a lot.

This is very nice. Holding on to your values and background is really a help against peer pressure influence.

Yeah... Thanks for stopping by.

My pleasure 🤗
