Greetings, hivers! I hope everyone is doing well.
My name is Jessica, and I'm a hiver rookie that goes by the nickname Jess.
I am the eldest of my siblings and a student. Perseverance, hard effort, diligence, and prayers, I suppose, are the keys to making all of my dreams come true. When all of my dreams come true in HIS(God)time, I will return all that to my family and humanity and for God's GLORY!
I enjoy making jokes because I am a happy person. I enjoy hearing others laugh because it relieves stress for a short time. But, if serious things emerge, I can listen intently and be serious when the time comes.
One of my passions is singing. Purple is my favourite colour, and my favourite foods are spaghetti, fruits, and vegetables!
As a student, one must engage in activities to distract oneself from your studies. I exercise by jogging, playing badminton, and even meditating. This task helps me in de-stressing, becoming healthier, and clearing my mind when necessary.
Our family is very simple. My mother is a housewife and my father does not have a permanent job. Despite of this, I am thankful to God that His provision is suffice to deal our everyday lives.
Please meet my family. My mother, brothers, and sisters are pictured here. Sundays are family days for us, when we all come together to praise and honour the Lord.
I am highly engaged as a youth in our church at any event, celebration, or Sunday worship for the Lord. This year, 2022, we have Youth Praise Jam, and I'm looking forward to the forthcoming youth camp! The last time we had one was in 2016, and I still remember how much fun I had. It was unforgettable because the words of God were incredibly moving, and the opportunity to socialise with other young people was fantastic.
Last September 2021 was memorable too as before the Classes starts, our youth had an event in Sunkissed Resort Bohol Philippines. It was a warm up thing for us before going back to school. We swam, praising God through songs and listen to the words of God.
So far, my biggest achievement as a student has been coming in first place. It was my proudest moment, as was my family's. All of my hard work seemed to have paid off. Of course, I was grateful to God because everything I have comes from Him, including knowledge, power, and provision.
