Does the death of King Kong symbolize the death of Jesus?

1920s - Random

Reading my friend @joeyarnoldvn's article 1920s - Random I thought about the 1930s.
I'm an Eastasian, so I don't know about the 1920s in America.
So, I don't know what the point @joeyarnoldvn is making.

I just wanted to say this to my friend @joeyarnoldvn.

**I don't know about the 1920s in America, but I do know that my favorite King Kong movies were made in the 1930s.

King Kong is a 1933 American pre-Code adventure fantasy monster film[4] directed and produced by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack. The screenplay by James Ashmore Creelman and Ruth Rose was developed from an idea conceived by Cooper and Edgar Wallace. It stars Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong and Bruce Cabot, and tells the story of a giant ape dubbed Kong who attempts to possess a beautiful young woman. It features stop-motion animation by Willis O'Brien and a music score by Max Steiner. It is the first entry in the King Kong franchise.

King Kong opened in New York City on March 2, 1933, to rave reviews, and has since been ranked by Rotten Tomatoes as the greatest horror film of all time[5] and the fifty-sixth greatest film of all time.[6] In 1991, it was deemed "culturally, historically and aesthetically significant" by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.[7][8] A sequel, titled Son of Kong, was fast-tracked and released the same year, with several more films made in the following decades, including two remakes which were made in 1976 and 2005 respectively, and a reboot in 2017.

I thought the King Kong movie contained the eschatology of Christianity.

1914–1918 global war, centered in Europe, between the Allied and Central Powers

With the outbreak of World War I in Europe, the fall and collapse of European empires began. As Europe was devastated by war, it owed a huge debt to the United States. The United States, on the other hand, made huge economic gains and became richer by exporting war materials to Europe.

Roaring Twenties New Year’s Eve

The continental United States did not suffer any damage from World War I and, on the contrary, became richer economically.
Americans are beginning to enjoy the overflowing economic wealth.
Many Americans are rising into the middle class, owning most cars and radios.
On the other hand, for most Europeans, cars and radios were symbols of the upper classes.

Europeans were shivering from hunger and cold amid the ruins of war, while Americans enjoyed a splendid consumption culture amid a booming economy.

Dorothea Lange's Migrant Mother depicts destitute pea pickers in California, centering on Florence Owens Thompson, age 32, a mother of seven children, in Nipomo, California, March 1936.

The Great Depression was a severe worldwide economic depression that took place mostly during the 1930s, beginning in the United States. The timing of the Great Depression varied around the world; in most countries, it started in 1929 and lasted until the late 1930s.[1] It was the longest, deepest, and most widespread depression of the 20th century.[2] The Great Depression is commonly used as an example of how intensely the global economy can decline.[3]

The Great Depression started in the United States after a major fall in stock prices that began around September 4, 1929, and became worldwide news with the stock market crash of October 29, 1929, which was known as Black Tuesday. Between 1929 and 1932, worldwide gross domestic product (GDP) fell by an estimated 15%. By comparison, worldwide GDP fell by less than 1% from 2008 to 2009 during the Great Recession.[4] Some economies started to recover by the mid-1930s. However, in many countries, the negative effects of the Great Depression lasted until the beginning of World War II.[5]

The Great Depression had devastating effects in both rich and poor countries. Personal income, tax revenue, profits and prices dropped, while international trade fell by more than 50%. Unemployment in the U.S. rose to 23% and in some countries rose as high as 33%.[6] Cities around the world were hit hard, especially those dependent on heavy industry. Construction was virtually halted in many countries. Farming communities and rural areas suffered as crop prices fell by about 60%.[7][8][9] Facing plummeting demand with few alternative sources of jobs, areas dependent on primary sector industries such as mining and logging suffered the most.[10]

Economic historians usually consider the catalyst of the Great Depression to be the sudden devastating collapse of U.S. stock market prices, starting on October 24, 1929. However, some dispute this conclusion and see the stock crash as a symptom, rather than a cause, of the Great Depression.[6][11][12][full citation needed][clarification needed]

After World War I, Americans have been busy enjoying their abundance of wealth for a decade. Capitalism was completed in the most dazzling and splendid way in America, and America became the center of the world.

However, the sudden onset of the Great Depression plunged the United States and the world into hell.
Not long ago, Americans, the wealthiest people in the world, began to starve to death.

Countless Americans were starving to death while the apples that fell from the orchard's apple trees were rotting.
The starvation of the world's richest Americans was a catastrophe that no one expected.

The Grapes of Wrath is an American realist novel written by John Steinbeck and published in 1939.[2] The book won the National Book Award[3] and Pulitzer Prize[4] for fiction, and it was cited prominently when Steinbeck was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1962.[5]

Set during the Great Depression, the novel focuses on the Joads, a poor family of tenant farmers driven from their Oklahoma home by drought, economic hardship, agricultural industry changes, and bank foreclosures forcing tenant farmers out of work. Due to their nearly hopeless situation, and in part because they are trapped in the Dust Bowl, the Joads set out for California along with thousands of other "Okies" seeking jobs, land, dignity, and a future.

The Grapes of Wrath is frequently read in American high school and college literature classes due to its historical context and enduring legacy.[6][7] A celebrated Hollywood film version, starring Henry Fonda and directed by John Ford, was released in 1940.

I felt that the scene where King Kong was crucified and ridiculed and insulted by the audience resembled Jesus.
Americans were mocking and insulting King Kong, the king of the jungle, by crucifying him for money.

This scene resembled the Jews who mocked and insulted Jesus, the King of kings, by hanging on the cross.

킹콩1.png

The scene where King Kong fights planes from the top of the Empire State Building is the greatest.

The Empire State Building was the Tower of Babel, a symbol of America becoming the richest empire in the world.
The Empire State Building, which showed the symbolism that American capitalism is dominating the world, was the pride and glory of Americans.

The Empire State Building, like the biblical Tower of Babel, expressed the dogmatic belief among Americans that America's wealth, power, and glory would be eternal.

킹콩7.png

However, King Kong, fighting planes while yelling from the top of a building, symbolized an ominous future when America's Tower of Babel would collapse.
King Kong's roar about the collapse of the Tower of Babel built by the Americans is like Jesus prophesied about the collapse of the Jerusalem Temple. ...

And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

The scene where King Kong was shot and bled was similar to that of Jesus shed on the cross.

킹콩8.png

The way the dying King Kong fell from the Empire State Building resembled the body of Jesus being taken down from the cross.

킹콩9.png

The small, shabby appearance of humans gathered next to King Kong's huge corpse heralded the catastrophe to come.

The Great Depression of the 1930s was only a foreshadowing of the catastrophe of the 1940s.

I was amazed that America made such a great film in the 1930s.😲
King Kong's expression of pain after being shot and his inner acting was so real.😳

I saw King Kong as a child and understood it as a mere commercial entertainment movie. However, looking at it now, King Kong was similar to Jesus, who prophesied the end while pointing out human greed and arrogance.

The fact that the United States, which had emerged as the supreme scientific and material civilization of the 20th century, was on the brink of destruction during the Great Depression, was portrayed in the King Kong movie.

King Kong portrays the horrors of Christian eschatology in the wake of the Great Depression, among the world's richest Americans in the 1920s!

Suddenly I remembered the words of a Japanese Buddhist scholar.

Atheism, secularism, materialism, and pluralism seem to dominate in America and Europe today.
However, Western Christian civilization has existed since 2000 years ago.
If Western Christian civilization is on the verge of collapse, Christian fanaticism will arise again.

Currently, in the New World and Europe, there will be many crusaders who want to have the glory of martyrdom like my friend monkey king @joeyarnoldvn.

@goldgrifin007 , This was a whole new revelation. How did you connect the dot from a movie to depict the death of Christ, his prophecy, and how it affected the Americans? It must have taken you a lot of thoughts to figure all of this out. Maybe, as you grew up, experience was an added advantage. It's amazing. And I am pleased I read this.

I wonder what your friend, @joeyarnoldvn has to say on this 🤔

Dear @iskafan, While reading the Bible, I came to compare Jesus to King Kong. The Holy Spirit seems to have inspired me.😄

I hope you understand first that my English conversation skills are not yet enough to give you an answer.
I will give you enough answers next time.
Thank you!

Ps: Perhaps, my friend @joeyarnoldvn is not responding to me because he is very busy right now.

I completely understand sir. I admire you for allowing the Holy Spirit take charge over your inspiration. That inspiration gave birth to the post I read, and I was blessed. Thanks for spreading the love of the gospel. ❤️
