Todo comenzó el día anterior. El martes en horas de la tarde recibía una llamada de un número desconocido. Mi corazón se acelero al instante, una alarma se activo en toda mi cabeza mientras el teléfono sonaba y por fin conteste. Del otro lado una voz femenina preguntaba ¿Johanna? ¿Eres Johanna?
It all started the day before. Tuesday afternoon I received a call from an unknown number. My heart skipped a beat, an alarm went off all over my head as the phone rang and I finally answered. On the other end a female voice asked Johanna, are you Johanna?
Así fue como terminé al siguiente día alistándome para ir a un programa de radio a hablar sobre mi.
That's how I ended up the next day getting ready to go on a radio show to talk about myself.
Al principio pensé que seria sencillo, después de todo se trataba de hablar de mi vida y para eso no tendría que estudiar mucho, sin embargo la realidad era otra. Desde el momento en que recibí la llamada de Carmen, la locutora de la radio Amor 105.3 FM me asusté muchísimo y al mismo tiempo me lleno de una emoción indescriptible, de alguna u otra forma esto le estaba dando un sentido a mi semana.
At first I thought it would be simple, after all it was about talking about my life and for that I would not have to study much, however the reality was different. From the moment I received the call from Carmen, the announcer of Amor 105.3 FM radio station, I was very scared and at the same time I was filled with an indescribable emotion, somehow or another this was giving a meaning to my week.
Mientras iba de camino a la radio no dejaba de repetirme *Johanna es tu vida, solo tu sabes lo que has hecho además, te la pasas hablando pistoladas por ahí, esto es igual* y respiraba con profundidad para calmar mis nervios. Pero estos solo iban en aumento y más cuando llegue y pude conocer en persona a Carmen.
While I was on my way to the radio I kept repeating to myself *Johanna is your life, only you know what you have done besides, you spend your time talking shit, this is the same* and I breathed deeply to calm my nerves. But these were only increasing and more when I arrived and I could meet Carmen in person.
Ella lo primero que hizo fue ofrecerme un café, uno muy fuerte que me ayudo bastante a despertar y en el proceso de servirlo entablamos una conversación tranquila como para ir rompiendo el hielo. Después de eso si llego la hora de entrar en la cabina.
The first thing she did was to offer me a coffee, a very strong one that helped me to wake up and in the process of serving it we started a quiet conversation to break the ice. After that it was time to enter the cabin.
En ese pequeño cuarto estábamos tres personas, Jesús en los controles, Carmen como mi entrevistadora y yo, una persona dramática que esta narrando este día como si fuera una novela.
In that small room we were three people, Jesus at the controls, Carmen as my interviewer and me, a dramatic person who is narrating this day as if it were a novel.
De esta forma estábamos listos para comenzar. No seria un programa en vivo, solo íbamos a grabar porque el programa lo transmiten los días domingos a las 10:00 AM por lo que la cosa seria "relajada", así que comenzamos.
So we were ready to start. It would not be a live show, we were just going to record because the show is broadcast on Sundays at 10:00 AM so it would be "relaxed", so we started.
La grabación sucedía por bloques, así que antes de comenzar cada parte Carmen medio explicaba de que hablaríamos. Se supone que es una conversa sin mucho guión, aun así tiene que tener su estructura para no ir tan perdidas. Entonces fue: Saludos, presentación de canción y hago paréntesis para contarte que me pidieron tres canciones en español que no fueran reggaetón y obvio a mi cerebro se le olvido toda la música que me la paso escuchando. A todas estas me fui por la nueva de Elena Rose Me lo merezco, una de Liana Malva con Letra emece y Keilinchh que se llama Libre y Parece de Rawayana, que por cierto iban a hacer un especial de este ultimo grupo gracias a esas canciones que elegí.
The recording happened in blocks, so before starting each part Carmen half explained what we would be talking about. It's supposed to be a conversation without much of a script, but even so it has to have a structure so we don't get so lost. So it was: Greetings, song presentation and I digress to tell you that I was asked for three songs in Spanish that were not reggaeton and obviously my brain forgot all the music I keep listening to. I went for the new one by Elena Rose Me lo merezco, one by Liana Malva with Letra emece and Keilinchh called Libre and Parece by Rawayana, which by the way they were going to make a special of this last group thanks to those songs I chose.
Siguieron unas preguntas que me descolocaron por completo. ¿Cual es tu mayor logro hasta ahora? ¿Qué es lo más emocionante que has hecho? Por algún motivo sentí como si me estuvieran evaluando con la operación matemática más compleja del mundo y no, solo eran estas dos preguntas si se quiere triviales.
Then came some questions that completely threw me off. What is your greatest achievement so far? What is the most exciting thing you have ever done? For some reason I felt as if I was being evaluated with the most complex mathematical operation in the world and no, they were just these two questions if you will trivial.
Aunque quizás haya respondido anteriormente en alguno de los diálogos que creo en mi mente por si algún día llego a estar en tal o cual situación, el síndrome de impostora me traiciono un poco. Es que son preguntas que a veces nos cuesta responder por no saber como calificar nuestros logros ¿No te ha pasado? y lo mismo me pasa con las emociones.
Although I may have answered previously in some of the dialogues I create in my mind in case I ever get to be in such and such a situation, the impostor syndrome betrayed me a little. It's just that these are questions that sometimes we find it hard to answer because we don't know how to qualify our achievements, hasn't it happened to you?
Pero bueno, después de tantos tropiezos y vueltas para responder las preguntas que me lanzaba Carmen logré salir viva de la entrevista y creo que más nerviosa de lo que empece porque solo contaba los tantos errores que pude haber tenido hablando.
But well, after so many stumbles and turns to answer the questions that Carmen threw at me, I managed to get out of the interview alive and I think more nervous than I started because I only counted the many mistakes I could have had talking.
Más allá de estar nerviosa, de cometer errores al hablar me sentí feliz de poder participar en un programa de radio para hablar un poco de lo que estoy haciendo como una joven artista en mi ciudad, sin duda esto me da motivación para seguir trabajando en mis proyectos, en las clases y para seguir disfrutando de esta vida en el arte.
Beyond being nervous and making mistakes when speaking, I felt happy to be able to participate in a radio program to talk a little about what I am doing as a young artist in my city, without a doubt this gives me motivation to continue working on my projects, in my classes and to continue enjoying this life in art.
Ahora ¿Qué paso después? Me fui a una cita con mis amigas. Tenemos un acuerdo verbal de vernos por lo menos una vez al mes y marzo se estaba complicando para cumplir eso por lo que coordinamos para ir a una arepera que vimos por Instagram a probar que tal y pues, todo estuvo buenísimo.
Now what happened next? I went on a date with my friends. We have a verbal agreement to see each other at least once a month and March was getting complicated to fulfill that so we coordinated to go to an arepera we saw on Instagram to try it out and well, everything was great.
No le tomé fotos a la arepa que era de cinco contornos porque bueno me la comí antes de siquiera pensarlo.
I didn't take pictures of the arepa, which was a five-count arepa, because well, I ate it before I even thought about it.

Son preguntas difíciles, uno no anda por la vida diciendo este es mi gran logro hasta el momento, jejeje. Me encantó la primera canción que elegiste y las de Rawayana me gustan mucho, son diferentes jejeje.
