La animación ha estado presente durante toda mi vida, en casa, veiamos películas en el VHS o en la televisión, en familia o sola. Lo cierto es que crecer con éstas historias fue algo realmente mágico que siempre voy a recordar y apreciar. Hace unos años, cuando estudiaba cine, tuve la oportunidad de realizar mi primer cortometraje animado, jamás habia hecho una animación antes, para mi fue emocionante , no trabajé con un grupo de personas, lo hice por mi cuenta. Todo el trabajo fue realizado desde casa, con mi computadora. Pronto les comentaré más sobre ese proyecto.
Animation has been present throughout my life, at home, watching movies on VHS or TV, with my family or alone. The truth is that growing up with these stories was something really magical that I will always remember and appreciate. A few years ago, when I was studying film, I had the opportunity to make my first animated short film, I had never made an animation before, for me it was exciting, I didn't work with a group of people, I did it on my own. All the work was done from home, with my computer. Soon I will tell you more about that project.
Hoy quiero compartir mi experiencia ilustrando un video musical animado, llamado Máscara de porcelana La oportunidad llegó a través de un amigo. Fueron varios meses de trabajo y aprendizaje.
Mi trabajo consistió en crear el personaje principal de la historia y hacer el storyboard. Recordemos que el storyboard es una herramienta fundamental. Se utiliza como guía para entender una historia, para seguir la estructura de una película antes de realizarla o filmarla.
Para mi es fundamental saber la esencia del proyecto, así que esto lo conversé muy bien antes de comenzar. Despues confío en mi experiencia pero sobretodo en mi instinto, creativamente me hace sentir mucho más confiada. No en todos los proyectos te dan libertad creativa, sin embargoeste era diferente asi que me sentí cómoda.
Today I want to share my experience illustrating an animated music video, called Porcelain Mask The opportunity came through a friend. It was several months of work and learning.
My work consisted of creating the main character of the story and making the storyboard. Let's remember that the storyboard is a fundamental tool, a set of illustrations that appear in sequence and are used as a guide to understand a story, to follow the structure of a film before making or filming it.
For me it is essential to know the essence of the project, so I discussed this very well before starting. Then I rely on my experience but above all on my instinct, creatively it makes me feel much more confident. Not all projects give you creative freedom, but this one was different, so I felt comfortable.
Esta es solo una parte del trabajo en el storyboard, cada plano y valor de plano, acción y escena se plasma aquí.
Para el diseño de personaje, me dieron una serie de caracteristicas físicas, por supuesto no solo es suficiente con saber que color de cabello o de piel es, también el ambito emocional y psicologica es fundamental. este fue el resultado final:

For the character design, I was given a series of physical characteristics, of course it's not only enough to know what color hair or skin color is, also the emotional and psychological aspect is fundamental. this was the final result:

Este fue el trabajo en general, me encantó cada detalle del proceso, por ejemplo este, el ojo.
This was the work in general, I loved every detail of the process, for example this one, the eye.
Usé photoshop y mi tabla gráfica para realizar todas las ilustraciones, me parece super comodo trabajar con capas, estoy acostumbrada, para ésta ocasión descargué un pack de brochas que me ayudó a generar esas texturas que me gustan mucho. Cuando terminaba cada fase de la ilustración todo el material se lo enviaba a mi compañero, quien es animador y se encargó de esa labor.

I used photoshop and my graphic tablet to make all the illustrations, I find it super comfortable to work with layers, I'm used to it, for this occasion I downloaded a brush pack that helped me to generate those textures that I really like. When I finished each phase of the illustration all the material was sent to my partner, who is an animator and took care of that work.
