A veces sentimos que estamos salvando a nuestro prójimo pero realmente somos nosotros los que estamos siendo salvados. Cada semana tengo la oportunidad de servir como voluntaria en una fundación que realiza la bella labor de brindar alimento a niños que viven en situación vulnerable en Venezuela.
Inicialmente esperábamos poder ayudarles con su alimentación ya que realmente viven en situaciones muy precarias, pero a medida que fuimos compartiendo con ellos, nos dimos cuenta de que el alimento es muy importante pero no es lo primordial, son los valores como el respeto, la honestidad y el amor a todo ser vivo los que van a crear un verdadero cambio positivo en sus mentes y en su corazón.
En algún punto de nuestra labor nos preguntamos, ¿Qué hacen estos niños cuando vuelven a sus hogares? ¿Qué estamos haciendo para marcar positivamente sus vidas? En un país como Venezuela donde se ha generado tanta miseria en los últimos años, estos niños no conocen más allá, no conocen todas las cosas que vivimos los mayores en los tiempos de bonanza pero aún así siempre tienen una sonrisa en sus rostros. Es una realidad que en nuestro país se han perdido los valores, los maestros de la trampa y de la estafa son ahora quienes tienen buena posición económica y la delincuencia se encarga de adoptar a nuestros niños y transformarlos en adultos sin alma.
El poder compartir con ellos en esta etapa de sus vidas es una responsabilidad gigantesca, tenemos en nuestras manos la posibilidad de enseñarles que existen muchos más caminos que tomar y decidimos iniciar por aquellos pequeños detalles que pueden marcar la diferencia. Esta semana quisimos enseñarles sobre el cuidado correcto de los animalitos, aquellos seres vivos que solo saben darnos amor, la enseñanza que les transmitimos fue el amor y el respeto hacia todo ser vivo y finalizamos la charla con un compromiso de ser multiplicadores de ese mensaje, luego realizamos juegos, cantos, bailes, dinámicas y por supuesto disfrutamos de un delicioso almuerzo preparado con muchísimo amor, después de tanta diversión hasta yo tenía hambre jajaja. Me encanta cuando me piden que les tome una foto con mi teléfono aunque ellos no tengan teléfono para que se las envíe, así de simples son ❤️

Sometimes we feel that we are saving our neighbor but it is really us who are being saved. Every week I have the opportunity to serve as a volunteer at a foundation that does the beautiful work of providing food to children living in vulnerable situations in Venezuela.
Initially we hoped to be able to help them with their food since they really live in very precarious situations, but as we were sharing with them, we realized that food is very important but not the main thing, it is the values such as respect, honesty and love for all living beings that will create a real positive change in their minds and hearts.
At some point in our work we ask ourselves, what do these children do when they return home? What are we doing to make a positive mark on their lives? In a country like Venezuela where so much misery has been generated in recent years, these children do not know beyond, they do not know all the things that we older people live in the times of bonanza but still they always have a smile on their faces. It is a reality that in our country values have been lost, the masters of cheating and swindling are now those who have good economic position and delinquency is in charge of adopting our children and transforming them into adults without a soul.
Being able to share with them at this stage of their lives is a gigantic responsibility, we have in our hands the possibility to teach them that there are many more paths to take and we decided to start with those small details that can make a difference. This week we wanted to teach them about the correct care of animals, those living beings that only know how to give us love, the teaching we transmitted was love and respect for all living beings and we ended the talk with a commitment to be multipliers of that message, then we played games, songs, dances, dynamics and of course we enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared with lots of love, after so much fun even I was hungry hahaha. I love it when they ask me to take a picture with my phone even if they don't have a phone to send it to them, they are so simple ❤️
