Amigos el día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la maravillosa experiencia que tuve al recibir una video llamada y vivir de alguna manera uno de mis sueños de adolescencia, al ver en concierto a mis amados Backstreet Boys. Acompáñenme y les contaré como fue.
Friends, today I want to share with you the wonderful experience I had when I received a video call and somehow lived one of my teenage dreams, seeing my beloved Backstreet Boys in concert. Join me and I'll tell you how it went.
Los Backstreet Boys son una boyband estadounidense fundada en abril de 1993 en Orlando Florida, aunque yo me declaro su fan desde apróximadamente 1997 que fue cuando supe de su existencia. Luego de altibajos, algunos integrantes de la banda como Nick y Kevin siguieron sus caminos aparte, pero luego de un tiempo volvieron juntos y con más fuerza que antes, dando conciertos alrededor del mundo
The Backstreet Boys are an American boy band founded in April 1993 in Orlando Florida, although I've been a fan since about 1997 when I first heard about them. After ups and downs, some members of the band like Nick and Kevin went their separate ways, but after a while they came back together and stronger than before, giving concerts around the world.
Cuando yo era una adolescente la banda vino a mi país en un par ocasiones, pero lamentablemente debido alto costo del boleto yo no pude asistir, aún así me resigné y seguí viendo sus presentaciones por televisión. Los años pasaron y ¡Santo Dios! jamás imaginé que el día martes 21 de Junio yo recibiría una sorpresa tan maravillosa.
When I was a teenager the band came to my country on a couple of occasions, but unfortunately due to the high cost of the ticket I could not attend, even so I resigned myself and continued to watch their performances on television. The years went by and holy God! I never imagined that on Tuesday June 21st I would receive such a wonderful surprise.
Yo estaba en casa, haciendo algunas cosas en la computadora y afortunadamente tenía el whatsaap web activado, mi madre estaba hablando por el celular, cuando de pronto yo recibí un mensaje en el whatsaap web de parte de una de mis primas pidiéndome que atendiera la llamada, yo le respondí que no podía porque mi mamá estaba usando el celular, hablando con mi tía, la madre de mis primas, entonces fue cuando recibí otro mensaje por parte de ellas con unas palabras que me robaron el aliento: "Contesta rápido, urgente, dile que cuelgue, los Backstreet Boys en concierto"
I was at home, doing some things on the computer and luckily I had the whatsaap web activated, my mother was talking on the cellphone, when suddenly I received a message on the whatsaap web from one of my cousins asking me to answer the call, I replied that I could not because my mother was using the mobile, talking to my aunt, the mother of my cousins, then I received another message from them with some words that stole my breath: "Answer quickly, urgent, tell her to hang up, the Backstreet Boys in concert".
Ellas estaban en el concierto de Tampa, Florida (la ciudad donde ellas viven). Hice lo que ella me pidió y tomé el celular para recibir la llamada pero por más que lo intenté no pude recibirla, no había buena conexión, no se apreciaba ninguna imagen y el sonido era entrecortado.
They were at the concert in Tampa, Florida (the city where they live). I did as she asked and picked up the mobile phone to receive the call but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't receive it, there was no good connection, no picture was visible and the sound was choppy.
Luego de alrededor de cinco o seis intentos finalmente pude ver a mis amados Backstreet Boys, (disculpen la baja calidad de las capturas es que no sé porqué las imágenes no estaban nítidas) y el sonido tampoco era el mejor, pero aún así me emocioné muchísimo cuando los vi, se veían tan cerca. La expresión atontada de mi rostro les puede dar una idea e todas las emociones que tuve en ese momento.
After about five or six attempts I finally got to see my beloved Backstreet Boys, (sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I don't know why the images weren't clear) and the sound wasn't the best either, but I still got really excited when I saw them, they looked so close. The stunned expression on my face can give you an idea of all the emotions I had at that moment.
Mi mamá estaba tan emocionada como yo y ambas revivimos viejos tiempos mientras mirábamos la presentación. Yo sentí que tenía 15 años otra vez jaja.
My mum was as excited as I was and we both relived old times while watching the presentation. I felt like I was 15 years old again haha.
Y hubo un momento muy gracioso en el que dejé escapar un grito que asustó a mi mamá cuando vi a Brian (mi favorito) aparecer en pantalla.
And there was a very funny moment when I let out a scream that scared my mum when I saw Brian (my favourite one) appear on screen.
Vi casi todo el concierto pues mis primas me llamaban en intervalos para que pudiera disfrutar de mis canciones favoritas de la banda, fue sencillamente maravilloso, una experiencia única. De verdad estoy muy agradecida con ellas
I saw almost the whole concert because my cousins called me at intervals so I could enjoy my favourite songs of the band, it was simply wonderful, a unique experience. I am really grateful to them
De verdad amigos, aunque pueda parecer una tontería, significó mucho para mí haber vivido esta hermosa experiencia, desde la distancia pero muy feliz, agradezco a Dios y a mis primas por ese maravilloso regalo que no me esperaba en lo absoluto, también quiero agradecerles a ustedes por haber leído mi post y dejar que yo compartiera con ustedes mi felicidad. Really friends, although it may seem silly, it meant a lot to me to have lived this beautiful experience, from a distance but very happy, I thank God and my cousins for this wonderful gift that I didn't expect at all, I also want to thank you for having read my post and let me share with you my happiness. Primas así son las que uno necesita! Que emocionante experiencia me imagino ahí el “get down” entrecortado pero triunfal jajaja
jajaja tal cuál así fue, de todas formas lo disfruté mucho, de cierta manera se cumplió un sueño de adolescencia. Yo miraba la pantalla y gritaba de vez en cuando mientras mis padres me miraban con cara de extrañeza antes de empezara reír.
