Hello Hive friends. Once again, the first of the month has arrived, and it is the appropriate day to perform POWER UP. Last February 1st, I had the opportunity to participate in my first HIVE POWER UP DAY, even though I did not have the minimum quota of HP (100), nor did I have the necessary amount in HIVE.
But then how was I able to make it? Thanks to my friends at @theterminal, specifically @wesphilbin, @yaziris, @pravesh0 and @queenstarr who gave me all their support and I was able to make it.

Hola amigos de Hive. Nuevamente llegó el primero de un mes, y es el día apropiado para realizar POWER UP. El pasado 1 de febrero, tuve la oportunidad de participar en mi primer HIVE POWER UP DAY, a pesar de que no contaba con la cuota mínima de HP (100), ni tener la cantidad necesaria en HIVE.
Pero entonces ¿cómo pude lograrlo? Gracias a los amigos de @theterminal, específicamente a @wesphilbin, @yaziris, @pravesh0 y @queenstarr que me brindaron todo su apoyo y pude lograrlo.

About HIVE POWER UP DAY
It is an event that takes place on the first day of every month and is managed by @traciyork. It consists of betting or turning on (power up) at least 10 HIVE, which means you convert them to HP. You also turn off your rewards (HBD) and trade for those 24 hours.
The process is very simple and everything stays inside your same wallet. I understand if this is your first time reading about it or trying to do it. I didn't understand anything and was too confused when I first read about the HIVE POWER UP DAY, until I got down to work and did it after a lot of effort.
I was able to do it with help and after I did the post about it, everything became clear in my mind. Now, I'm sure you're wondering, what is the benefit or what is it for.
Sobre el HIVE POWER UP DAY
Es un evento que se lleva a cabo a cabo el primer día de cada mes y es administrado por @traciyork. Consiste apostar o encender (power up) al menos 10 HIVE, lo que significa que los conviertes a HP. También apagas tus recompensas (HBD) y el comercio por esas 24 horas.
El proceso es muy sencillo y todo queda dentro de tu misma cartera. Te entiendo si es la primera vez que lees sobre él o que intentas hacerlo. Yo no entendía nada y estaba demasiado confundida cuando leí por primera vez sobre el HIVE POWER UP DAY, hasta que tomé manos a la obra y lo hice después de un gran esfuerzo.
Pude hacerlo con ayuda y después que hice el post al respecto, es que todo se aclaró en mi mente. Ahora, seguro te preguntarás, cuál es el beneficio o para qué sirve.
Benefits of doing POWER UP
To make this clarification I want to quote from the post HivePUD is good for us, good for the chain! from @thekittygirl. In a simple way she explains why it's good to do so.
"In return for the wager, those who PowerUp have a higher vote value when upvoting posts (which, in turn, earn higher healing rewards), have more resource credits (RCs) with which to transact with the blockchain, and earn HP 'dividends' awarded periodically over time. "
Anyone can participate, so I encourage you to do so. By doing POWER UP on the first of every month, you get a HiveBUzz badge, however not everyone qualifies for that badge. They also hold raffles and award prizes to those who participate, regardless of whether they earned their badge or not. So it's a win-win event.
Beneficios de hacer POWER UP
Para realizar esta aclaratoria quiero citar del post ¡HivePUD es bueno para nosotros, bueno para la cadena! de @thekittygirl. De forma sencilla ella nos explica porqué es bueno hacerlo.
"A cambio de la apuesta, aquellos que PowerUp tienen un mayor valor de voto cuando votan por alto las publicaciones (que, a su vez, ganan mayores recompensas de curación), tienen más créditos de recursos (RC) con los que realizar transacciones con la cadena de bloques y ganan 'dividendos' de HP otorgados periódicamente a lo largo del tiempo."
Cualquiera puede participar, así que te animo a hacerlo. Al hacer POWER UP el primero de cada mes, obtienes una insignia de HiveBUzz, sin embargo no todos califican para esa insignia. Además hacen sorteos y otorgan premios a quienes participan, sin importar si obtuvieron su insignia o no. Así que es un evento de siempre ganar.
Requirements for earning a HiveBuzz badge on HIVE POWER UP DAY
Quoting @traciyork in his post Hive Power Up Day for March 1, 2022, to get your badge you must meet the following conditions:
- Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70.
- Your total hive power (before 1st) must be above 100 and below 8000.
- You must power up at least 10 Hive on March 1st.
- You must write a post about your power up on March 1 (your local time) with the hashtag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Spanish) as one of your first 5 tags (tagging only in the body of the post does not count).
In addition, the same by informs us that:
The unofficial winners list will be published on March 3 or 4 (allowing time to correct errors / omissions).
The official list of winners will be published on March 5, after which the sponsors will disperse the prizes.

Citando a @traciyork en su post Hive Power Up Day para el 1 de marzo de 2022, para obtener tu insignia debes cumplir con las siguientes condiciones:
- Tu reputación debe estar por encima de 39 y por debajo de 70.
- Tu poder total de colmena (antes del 1º) debe ser superior a 100 y menor a 8000.
- Debes encender al menos 10 Hive el 1 de marzo.
- Debes escribir una publicación sobre tu power up el 1 de marzo (tu hora local) con la etiqueta #HivePUD (Internacional) o #HPUD (español) como una de tus primeras 5 etiquetas (etiquetar solo en el cuerpo de la publicación no cuenta).
Además, el mismo por nos informa que:
La lista de ganadores no oficial se publicará el 3 o 4 de marzo (dando tiempo para corregir errores / omisiones)
La lista oficial de ganadores se publicará el 5 de marzo, después de lo cual los patrocinadores dispersarán los premios.
Así que manos a la obra.
What to do if you don't have enough HIVE?
The easiest way (I think) to get HIVE is to use your HBDs. These you can convert, or use to buy HIVE on the domestic market. What is important to know is that the process of converting HBD to HIVE takes 3.5 days and the purchase is immediate.

Also, you can get help from other HIVERS who support you with their own HIVE, for them there is also a HiveBuzz badge as a contributor. On that you would have to do some more research.
¿Qué hacer si no tienes suficiente HIVE?
La forma más sencilla (creo yo) de obtener HIVE es utilizando tus HBD. Estos los puedes convertir, o utilizar para comprar HIVE en el mercado interno. Lo que sí es importante, es que sepas que el proceso de convertir HBD a HIVE se hace efectivo en 3.5 días y la compra si es inmediata.

My process to achieve POWER UP
Mi proceso para lograr hacer POWER UP
For this month, I was very careful not to be caught off guard by the HIVE POWER UP DAY. However, I only had 3.5 HIVE. The previous month I could see that a hivers redeemed some of his Hive Engine tokens (I don't know if it's correct to call them that) for Hive.
I tried to do it but couldn't haha. I tried to ask for help in some channels but I didn't get it in the time I had available. I searched for information, tried to do it on my own but didn't succeed. I know it's not something so complex, but I couldn't dedicate more time to it and I aborted the mission.
So, what I did was to buy in the internal market the 7 HIVE that I needed. The first thing you have to do is, enter your wallet, I use PEAKD. Here is a record of the process.
Para este mes, estuve muy pendiente de que no me agarrara el HIVE POWER UP DAY de improvisto. Sin embargo solo tenía 3.5 HIVE. El mes anterior pude ver que un hivers canjeó algunos de sus tokens de Hive Engine (no se si es correcto llamarlos así) por Hive.
Traté de hacerlo pero no pude jaja. Traté de pedir ayuda en algunos canales pero no la obtuve en el tiempo que tenía disponible. Busqué información, traté de hacerlo por mi cuenta pero no lo logré. Se que no es algo tan complejo, pero no pude dedicarle más tiempo y aborté la misión.
Entonces, lo que hice fue comprar en el mercado interno los 7 HIVE que me hacían falta. Lo primero que debes hacer es, entrar a tu billetera, yo utilizo PEAKD. A continuación les dejo constancia del proceso.
In the line where your available HBD are reflected, there is an arrow that says SEND, if you press it, a menu will be displayed from where you can convert HBD to HIVE or go to the internal market. In my case, what I did was to buy HIVE.
En el renglón donde aparecen reflejados tus HBD disponibles, hay una flecha que dice ENVIAR (SEND), si la presionas se desplegará un menú desde donde podrás convertir HBD a HIVE o ir al mercado interno. En mi caso, lo que hice fue comprar HIVE.
Select the last option (MARKET). There you will see at once the suggested amount for the purchase in the PRICE line. Then you only have to enter the amount of HIVE to buy and the total will appear automatically. The next step to finish the process is to click on the BUY HIVE button.
Seleccioné la última opción (MERCADO). Allí te aparece de una vez el monto sugerido para la compra en el renglón PRECIO. Luego solo debes colocar la cantidad de HIVE a comprar y el total aparece automáticamente. Lo siguiente para finalizar el proceso es, darle al botón COMPRAR HIVE (BUY HIVE).
Then you go back to your wallet and you will be able to view the HIVE purchased.
Después vuelves a tu billetera y podrás visualizar los HIVE comprados.
You can also visualize the receipts of your actions performed in the internal market, both the purchase and delivery of your HIVE.
Así como también puedes visualizar los comprobantes de tus acciones realizadas en el mercado interno, tanto la compra como la entrega de tus HIVE.
After that, I had what I needed to make my ignition today. This process is super simple. From the same wallet, select the arrow that appears on the SEND button, where you visualize your HIVE. There select the POWER UP option:
Después de esto, ya tenía lo necesario para realizar mi encendido el día de hoy. Ese proceso es super sencillo. Desde la misma billetera, seleccione la flecha que aparece en el botón ENVIAR (SEND), donde visualizas tus HIVE. Allí selecciona la opción POWER UP:
Then choose the total number of HIVE's to turn on and press continue.
Luego escoges el total de los HIVE a encender y le das continuar
You will then receive proof of your transaction in the transaction history. Don't worry if you don't see it right away because it may take a few minutes to appear.
Entonces recibirás el comprobante de tu operación en el histórico de las transacciones. No te preocupes si no la ves de inmediato porque puede que tarde unos minutos en aparecer.
This was my whole process to participate for the second time in the HIVE POWER UP DAY 😜.

Last month I was in a similar situation, not having the minimum of 100ʜᴩ, I was not eligible for the major prize pools of #HivePUD. This month I was over the 100ʜᴩ mark, but didn't have a spare $ʜɪᴠᴇ10.00 to power up into Hive Power.
