Algo que realmente disfruté del 2025 fue haber asistido a la feria mundial de Ethereum en Buenos Aires, Argentina, que se realizó del 17 al 22 de noviembre.

Es un evento de Ethereum donde asisten personas de todas partes del mundo para presenciar charlas importantes, conocer proyectos web3 y generar contactos o posibles negocios relacionados con Ethereum. Asisten personas muy importantes, como empresarios, expertos en web3 y, por supuesto el fundador de Ethereum, así como representantes de empresas y proyectos reconocidos del ecosistema.
El 2025 fue la primera vez que este evento se realizó en Sudamérica, lo que permitió que varias comunidades, proyectos y empresas asistieran para promocionar sus productos o servicios, había bastantes stands que visitar, muchas charlas por escuchar y mucho por conocer.
🤔 ¿Cómo fue que llegué ahí?

Este fue un sueño que creo que muchos de los que estamos en web3 compartimos, en mi caso al publicarse la fecha y lugar de este evento, no lo pensé ni dos veces para empezar a planificar cómo ir hasta ahí.
Becas, voluntariados, contactos, en fin, la búsqueda empezaba ya desde el mes de abril o mayo, cuando empezaron a salir algunas publicaciones de comunidades que ayudarían en tema de gastos a las personas que deseaban ir a la Devconnect.
Y obviamente yo traté de aplicar a todas las que encontré ya que en verdad quería ir, pero fueron pasando los meses y aún no tenía noticias de mis postulaciones, tampoco hubo muchas becas para postular, me empezaba a impacientar porque, si no quedaba en ninguna, iba a ser complicado poder asistir.
Había una beca en específico que deseaba ganar porque te ayudaba a cubrir todos los gastos del viaje, pero llegó el gran día de los resultados finales y lamentablemente no fui seleccionada, me sentí muy mal al respecto y empecé a pensar que quizá no era apta o que había hecho algo mal.
Luego de analizarlo un poco y ver que no era el fin del mundo, vi que también varios amigos de la web3 habían corrido con mi misma suerte, entonces dejando pasar esa tristeza empecé a averiguar qué otras cosas podía hacer, quizá ya no dependiendo siempre de una postulación sino de por ejemplo juntar dinero y trabajar para ello.

Así fue que puse más empeño en conseguir el dinero por mi cuenta, pero ahí apareció también tres grandes oportunidades. Por un lado, al decidir que iría si o sí al evento, confirmé mi participación como voluntaria de la Devconnect (también había postulado y fui aceptada). Si bien esto no implicaba el pago de los gastos de viaje (aunque luego me llevaría una gran sorpresa), me permitiría vivir de cerca la experiencia de apoyar en este evento.

La segunda oportunidad a la vista fue el ser parte de una comunidad de mujeres a nivel mundial, la cual había gestionado becas para ayudar a solventar algunos gastos del viaje, ahí también postulé y fui aceptada, me sentí muy feliz de tener ese gran apoyo de chicas que igual que yo están metidas en este ecosistema y quieren cambiar el mundo a través de todo esto.

Y la tercera oportunidad también fue de la mano de esta comunidad de mujeres, la cual decidió apoyarnos a las chicas que tenían problemas al pagar sus viajes, sentí realmente el apoyo que siempre te dicen que te dan las comunidades y de chicas que quizá no te conocen ni si quiera de forma virtual, pero confiaron en tus aptitudes y sobre todo en tus ganas de querer participar de esta gran experiencia.
Fue una locura todo lo que viví, porque estas noticias fueron llegando de a poco y muy cerca de la fecha del viaje, por el mes de octubre y noviembre. Agradezco profundamente a todas estas personas y comunidades, porque si hubiera renunciado en un inicio, me habría perdido grandes oportunidades; pero esto me enseñó que si quiero algo y quizá no sale como quiero, debo esforzarme el doble para obtenerlo, esto hablando de sueños.
💖 ¿Qué tal fue mi experiencia?

Y llegó el día del viaje, para abaratar costos viajé por carretera desde La Paz (Bolivia), hasta Buenos Aires, no era mi primera vez viajando así, siempre que voy a Argentina tengo el mismo trayecto, si bien el viaje sí es cansador y pesado más era mi emoción y alegría por empezar mi travesía.
Todo este evento se dio en La Rural, un lugar muy grande en el centro de la ciudad, por lo tanto, debía hospedarme cerca de este lugar porque además todos los días debía ir temprano a apoyar durante el evento, ya que, como les comenté era voluntaria oficial.
Mi experiencia comenzó el 15 de noviembre donde tuvimos nuestra última sesión presencial de voluntarios, aquí ya nos designaron nuestras tareas y conocimos a nuestros líderes de área. Yo había optado por apoyar en 3 áreas: entrega de merchandising, apoyo en las salas de charlas y apoyo en el área de stands de arte.

Fue muy acertada mi elección porque en cada una de estas áreas aprendí bastante, conocí a buenas personas y viví una linda experiencia. El 17 de noviembre se abría oficialmente la feria al público y yo me encontraba en el área de arte donde mi principal tarea era guiar a los visitantes por todo este trayecto, ver que los expositores tengan todo lo necesario y también vigilar que no se lleven nada del lugar.
Algo bonito de esta área fue que conocí a varios artistas, desde pintores hasta cantantes, era muy emocionante ver cada una de sus obras y el proceso que habían tenido para crearlas. Aquí pude conocer a un dúo de música famoso en web3 que yo solo los conocía de manera virtual, no se imaginan la alegría que me dio verlos y abrazarlos porque me considero una gran fan suya.

El siguiente día me tocó apoyar en las salas de charlas, aquí lo principal era ver que el speaker tuviera todo lo necesario para su presentación, pasar los micrófonos, dirigir a los participantes a los asientos y ver en general que todas las charlas fueran un éxito. Si bien no podía estar atenta al contenido debido al trabajo, sí logré aprender algunas cosas y también conocer un poco a los expositores.
Ya para los últimos días me tocó estar en la entrega de merch, aquí fue un poco más tranquilo los primeros días, porque la gente venía con su QR, lo escaneabas y luego les entregabas sus productos. Pero el último día fue una locura, porque ese día iban a hacer cambios de talla de las poleras y además regalar las que sobraron, esto último fue todo un caos, porque sobraron bastantes prendas, así que llamaron a más voluntarios para que nos apoyen y no solo hicimos el trabajo de forma más rápida, sino que los visitantes terminaron más que contentos con sus regalos.
Todo el equipo de voluntarios fue excepcional, me encantó ver esas ganas y energía que le pusieron al trabajo, conocer personas así a veces es difícil, pero ten en cuenta que en los voluntariados existen bastantes. Fue un gran honor ser parte de este equipo y sobre todo haber conocido a personas maravillosas que ya puedo considerar mis amigos.

Ese mismo día, 22 de noviembre, tuvimos nuestra fiesta de despedida donde comimos, bailamos y celebramos por todo el trabajo que hicimos que sin dudarlo fue excepcional. Me olvidé de contarles que también tuvimos nuestra bienvenida donde también fuimos a comer y a conocernos más como equipo. Creo que, comparando ambos días, puedo decir nuevamente que me alegra mucho haber tomado esta oportunidad, viví grandes experiencias con todos ellos.
Algo que quizá se pregunten es… y luego de mi trabajo qué hacía, bueno yo tenía los horarios de la mañana hasta el horario del almuerzo, ya después me dedicaba a visitar todos los stands y escuchar las charlas. Pero también conocer a mis amigos web3 en vivo y directo, así fue que pude conocer a personas de Argentina, Perú, México, Chile, Brasil, Ecuador, Guatemala, Venezuela, Estados Unidos y más países.
Sin duda, fue toda una experiencia internacional.

🏆 ¿Con qué cosas me quedo?
Este tipo de eventos se dan cada año en diferentes países y justamente el 2025 fue en Argentina (primera vez en Sudamérica), muy cerca de mi país, esa fue una razón por la que si o sí quise ir.
Pero la más importante fue porque quería aprender y conocer más sobre este ecosistema y que mejor de forma IRL, los proyectos, las comunidades, los fundadores, las empresas y sobre todo a mis amigos web3.

Me quedo con los lindos recuerdos que pasé ahí, obviamente con toda la merch que pude llevarme y con varios aprendizajes. Uno de estos fue que no debo desistir si algo no sale como quiero, es mi sueño y debo poner todo de mí para hacerlo realidad.
Otro es que en web3 no existen barreras de ningún tipo, aquí nos unen ciertos ideales que tenemos para mejorar nuestras comunidades, pero también trabajar en equipo para que eso ocurra, sabes que cuentas con el apoyo necesario para iniciar o recorrer tu camino en este ecosistema.
Y el último, trabajar en aquello que te apasiona, quizá escucharon esa frase que dice que si trabajar en lo que más te gusta ya no se sentirá como un trabajo común y corriente, sino que lo verás como una actividad que no importa la hora, el lugar o si es lunes o viernes, te gustará hacerlo todos los días de tu vida. Y eso fue lo que encontré aquí.

My first Devconnect
Something I really enjoyed in 2025 was attending the Ethereum world fair in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which took place from November 17 to 22.
👁🗨 But what is Devconnect?
It is an Ethereum event where people from all over the world attend to witness important talks, learn about web3 projects, and generate contacts or potential business opportunities related to Ethereum. Very important people attend, such as entrepreneurs, web3 experts, and, of course, the founder of Ethereum, as well as representatives from well-known companies and projects in the ecosystem.
2025 was the first time this event was held in South America, which allowed several communities, projects, and companies to attend to promote their products or services. There were quite a few booths to visit, many talks to listen to, and a lot to learn.
🤔 How did I get there?
This was a dream that I think many of us in web3 share. In my case, when the date and location of this event were announced, I didn't think twice about starting to plan how to get there.
Scholarships, volunteer opportunities, contacts... In short, the search began in April or May, when some community publications started to appear that would help with expenses for people who wanted to go to Devconnect.
Obviously, I tried to apply for all the ones I found because I really wanted to go, but months went by and I still hadn't heard back about my applications. There weren't many scholarships to apply for either, and I was starting to get impatient because if I didn't get any, it would be difficult to attend.
There was one scholarship in particular that I wanted to win because it covered all the travel expenses, but the big day of the final results arrived and unfortunately I was not selected. I felt really bad about it and started to think that maybe I wasn't suitable or that I had done something wrong.
After thinking about it a bit and realizing that it wasn't the end of the world, I saw that several friends from web3 had had the same luck as me, so I let go of that sadness and started to figure out what else I could do, perhaps not always depending on an application but, for example, saving money and working for it.
So I put more effort into raising the money myself, but then three great opportunities came up. First, when I decided that I would definitely go to the event, I confirmed my participation as a volunteer for Devconnect (I had also applied and was accepted). Although this did not cover my travel expenses (although I would later get a big surprise), it would allow me to experience firsthand what it was like to support this event.
The second opportunity that came up was to be part of a global community of women, which had arranged scholarships to help cover some of the travel expenses. I applied and was accepted, and I was very happy to have such great support from women who, like me, are involved in this ecosystem and want to change the world through it all.
And the third opportunity also came from this community of women, which decided to support those of us who were having trouble paying for our trips. I really felt the support that communities always say they give you, and from women who may not even know you virtually, but who trusted in your abilities and, above all, in your desire to participate in this great experience.
Everything I experienced was crazy, because this news came little by little and very close to the date of the trip, in October and November. I am deeply grateful to all these people and communities, because if I had given up at the beginning, I would have missed out on great opportunities; but this taught me that if I want something and it doesn't turn out the way I want it to, I have to work twice as hard to get it, when it comes to dreams.
💖 How was my experience?
The day of the trip arrived. To save money, I traveled by road from La Paz, Bolivia, to Buenos Aires. It wasn't my first time traveling this way; whenever I go to Argentina, I take the same route. Although the trip is tiring and difficult, my excitement and joy at starting my journey were even greater.
The whole event took place at La Rural, a very large venue in the city center, so I had to stay close by because I had to go in early every day to help out during the event, since, as I mentioned, I was an official volunteer.
My experience began on November 15, when we had our last in-person volunteer session. There, we were assigned our tasks and met our area leaders. I had chosen to help in three areas: merchandising delivery, support in the lecture rooms, and support in the art booth area.
My choice was very wise because I learned a lot in each of these areas, met good people, and had a wonderful experience. On November 17, the fair officially opened to the public, and I was in the art area where my main task was to guide visitors throughout the event, make sure the exhibitors had everything they needed, and also keep an eye on things to make sure nothing was taken from the venue.
One nice thing about this area was that I met several artists, from painters to singers. It was very exciting to see each of their works and learn about the process they had gone through to create them. Here I was able to meet a famous music duo on web3 that I only knew virtually. You can't imagine how happy I was to see them and hug them because I consider myself a big fan of theirs.
The next day, I was assigned to assist in the lecture halls. My main task was to make sure that the speakers had everything they needed for their presentations, pass around the microphones, direct participants to their seats, and generally ensure that all the lectures were a success. Although I couldn't pay attention to the content due to my work, I did manage to learn a few things and get to know the speakers a little.
During the last few days, I was assigned to the merchandise distribution area. It was a little quieter there during the first few days because people came with their QR codes, you scanned them, and then handed them their products. But the last day was crazy because they were going to exchange T-shirt sizes and give away the leftover ones. The latter was complete chaos because there were quite a few leftover items, so they called in more volunteers to help us. Not only did we get the job done faster, but the visitors ended up more than happy with their gifts.
The entire team of volunteers was exceptional. I loved seeing the enthusiasm and energy they put into their work. It's sometimes difficult to meet people like that, but keep in mind that there are quite a few of them in volunteer work. It was a great honor to be part of this team and, above all, to have met wonderful people who I can now consider my friends.
That same day, November 22, we had our farewell party where we ate, danced, and celebrated all the work we did, which was undoubtedly exceptional. I forgot to mention that we also had our welcome party where we went out to eat and got to know each other better as a team. Comparing both days, I can say again that I am very happy to have taken this opportunity. I had great experiences with all of them.
Something you might be wondering is... what did I do after work? Well, I worked from morning until lunchtime, and then I spent my time visiting all the stands and listening to the talks. But I also got to meet my web3 friends in person, so I was able to meet people from Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala, Venezuela, USA, and other countries.
It was definitely an international experience.
🏆 What did I take away from it?
These types of events are held every year in different countries, and in 2025 it was in Argentina (the first time in South America), very close to my country, which was one reason why I definitely wanted to go.
But the most important reason was because I wanted to learn and know more about this ecosystem, and what better way than IRL, the projects, the communities, the founders, the companies, and above all, my web3 friends.
I'll take away the beautiful memories I made there, obviously with all the merch I could take with me and with several lessons learned. One of these was that I must not give up if something does not turn out the way I want it to. It is my dream, and I must give it my all to make it come true.
Another is that in web3 there are no barriers of any kind. Here we are united by certain ideals we have to improve our communities, but also to work as a team to make that happen. You know that you have the necessary support to start or continue your journey in this ecosystem.
And lastly, work on what you are passionate about. Perhaps you have heard the saying that if you work on what you love most, it will no longer feel like a regular job, but rather an activity that you will enjoy doing every day of your life, regardless of the time, place, or whether it is Monday or Friday. And that is what I found here.
