El motivo por el cual fuí a este lugar fueron las historias de una abuela a la cual acompaño todos los días, ella aproximadamente 60 años atrás se quedó con sus dos hijas acampando 3 meses en estas playas, comían arroz con mejillón que ellas sacaban de las piedras, les leía el Libro "Tabaré" por las tardes y hasta aguantaron un temporal que se llevó las carpas de un circo que había en ese momento. Todo el que pasaba por su carpa le decía que era valiente, ella es educadora y simplemente estaba disfrutando de sus vacaciones. En este momento, con 90 años no sale de su casa, y por eso fuí hasta ese lindo faro para traerle la imagen actual de ese lugar tan lindo donde tuvo esa super experiencia de joven.

Y el lugar es realmente bello, quisiera subir al faro del Cabo Sta María y ver el oceano Atlántico en todo su esplendor; las rocas tienen una forma super extraña con un color rojo coral. Tiene varias bahias, una ciudad costeña pequeña, pero con todo lo que se necesita. Es un lugar donde van a hacer Surf, pero justo ese día no había el oleaje adecuado, la mayoría de los surfistas se habían ido a Punta del Diablo (otro balneario).

La Paloma es perfecta para vacacionistas sin vehículos, ya que caminando tienes todo cerca y puedes llegar en omnibus al terminal. Y por supuesto que con auto mucho mejor.
