I've been using the ln app and haven't really had any problems with it. I've sent to many different destinations/merchants, bought things with hive/HBD via lightning invoices and it's gone through in a matter of seconds so haven't really noticed the delays you mentioned.
Muun requires you to log in every time you open the app, even if you only just opened it for a ln invoice so that can cause some delays.
